| Well played Huddersfeild from a Cas fan I think the score was about right both teams was a bit scratchy but you controlled the ball well a lot better than us. The ref was his usual self but you come to expect that of him but to be honest he did not effect the result and was right result in the end.

| Really enjoyed the game today, great game of RL and could have gone either way. Impressed with the way hudds dug in and won the game and as said before a pass from Shenny to the beast would have seen a different result.... It wasn't to be, the game could have gone either way.
On a side note, the ref was not fit for purpose for BOTH sides. the worst performance we have had this season. We knock on and hudds have the free play and we get the ball and play on ??? There were decisions the other way but in general .... Terrible.
Hopefully another game like that will happen darnt lane later in the season

| Quote ="cas all the way"Well done giants. Expected to lose so not too disheartened. Not gunna blame the Ref either. Hopefully you will give us credit like other teams haven't. Instead they usually say they were poor and made Cas look good but we aren't.'"
I expected us to win marginally just because we've had a longer rest after a busy few weeks.
However hats off to you lot. To lose by a point, away from home against last years league leaders is a great effort.
You've been superb this season and would love to be in the top 4 with you come the end of season. I've seen little arrogance from your fans and what I've seen when your team have played has been brilliant. You deserve to be in the spot you're in. Don't listen to anyone who will try and put a downer on that.
Good win however for the Giants. Roll on London next week.

| Quote ="GiantMisterE"Very impressed by Cas - looked structured and very strong. But the way we fought back when our heads could have dropped was great, but we should have put it to bed.
Mullally was NOT happy that he didn't get a second spell. Twice he was ready to go back on, only for Faiumu and then Crabtree to be given the nod at the last minute. And I have to agree with him. Anderson seemed to punish him for a penalty that he conceded close to the Cas line. But he was by far our most effective front rower today'"
He didn't get on due to Robbo's injury.

| Thought Childs had one of his better games, he did miss two or three things which every referee does, but he was consistent for both sides.

| I thought he'd been abducted by aliens and had been replaced by a clone as he didn't give a single penalty in the first 20 minutes! Most unchildlike. Made up for it later with some typical shockers- but the aliens can keep the real mr child.

Why did Fuey and Eorl get the nod at the last minute, when Mullally was stripped and ready to go on?

| Kopczak 7.91 metres per carry, Eorl 8.22, taai 8.65, now THATS a big improvement and at least what we want to see every week. (Mullally 11.00 metres a carry -aladdy!)

| it was an exciting game and both teams played their part, didn't think there was anything between the 2 teams and a draw would have been fair, but we have lost too many close games this year so very happy to win this one, possibly our 2nd best win of the season after wigan, cas were very good in spells and shenton/carney tore leroy to pieces at times.
but yet again we let ourselves down and almost threw away another lead by playing dumb rugby!, kicking for good position on their line only to give silly penalties away, trying to force the pass on the zero tackle in their '20 and losing the ball, loose carry on halfway on the 1st tackle after a great defensive set.
and our passing was shocking at times, how many times did our players have to reach behind them to collect a pass??
thought mullally was superb, him and fooey really stepped it up when they came on, and as has been alluded to, kyle wood had a very good game too, those 3 lifted us when we needed it, koppy and eorl ran with a bit more aggression in their 2md stints and ta'ai and chan were a handful too.
only downer for me is leroy, his defence this year has been poor by his standards and was at fault for their 2 opening tries i thought.
but 3 wins on the spin without really dominating any game will do me.

| Yes agreed Leroy's normally dependable defence is poor. We fought back and throw away again mind and I consider it lucky we won. Shenton must be kicking himself that he didn't pass right at the end, think he deffo had I if not 2 in support but ran straight into the defender. Real lucky. But Our forwards went up a gear for only the second or third time this season. Mullally went really well, tai was a handful. Chan was great also, but silly penalties. We really miss ferres though in attack. Wood outshone Lunt by a mile today. Once again a real lack of idea in final 10 and we spent quite a bit in their half, where as they had to break from deep a lot. A very good improvement on things but still lots to do.

| One thing that annoyed me yesterday were grix's woeful attempts to tackle both Carney and Webster when they broke free for there 4 pointers. I know that these are big guys but grix didn't look remotely insterested in making the tackles

Mullally head and shoulders above Kopczak and Big Eorl yesterday. Yes a better effort from Eorl and Koppy in their second stint yesterday but still not good enough from them, Mullally and Fuey showed them how it should be done yesterday.

Not half as bad as some of Leroys half hearted (pathetic) attempts that cost us points.

Koppy held his hand up to acknowledge his mistake.

think you're being a bit harsh there, it would take a massive effort from anyone to stop justin carney and jake webster when they are in full thunderous flow!

| By no means am I discounting the effort it requires, but grix merely let them run by him! It's his job as the last line of defence to at least attempt the tackle

| In one instance it was two onto one didn't stand a chance, it was there's to mess up only. Can't think of many instances grid let them through, Leroy in the other hand....

He tried to tackle Carney but Carney powered through the tackle. Webster foxed him with a show and go and Grix was caught flat footed.
In neither instance did he look "not remotely interested" in tackling them.

| Thought it was a very good win against a very good, well drilled, and at times exciting team, Cas are there on merit thiss season and showed why, possibly the best team we've faced at home so far.
It was the kind of game that would have been harsh on the losers but at the same time the team who did lose it could have no complaints....it was a proper game full of excitement.
Mullally was magnificent yesterday and showed Eorl and Koppy how it should be done, which gave those 2 a kick up the backside for when they returned.
Thought Jerry was superb in defence and Joe Wardle is a tackling machine !!
Think the reaction of the fans and players at the end showed what a big win that was against a very good team

| Quick, late note to say: what a game. Thoroughly enjoyed it from soup to nuts. Kudos too to James Child for keeping it flowing, albeit with help from the two teams who were keen to get on with it rather than niggle.
