one wigan fan mentioned crabtree being picked for england at the end of the season, think that ship has sailed now, crabtree did nothing wrong last season (top prop regards metre making in SL) but macnamara just went off the idea despite him being involved in the setup from day 1 for the world cup and went for T.burgess instead...wrong decision and he was poor

I'm honestly looking forward to tonight, both teams have flair and can play entertaining RL. Crabtree can use this season to make a statement playing his way into the England set-up (unless Steve Mc won't change his ways) Similar to Taylor at Wigan, a prop who's looking better all the time. Large amount of English talent on display tonight.

Most consistant and best are two different things, and sadly winning the league doesn't make you champs anymorw. I feel it should, but with the playoff structure it's the winners of the GF who are crowned champs.

he should be in the England team but wont be i dont think.. one thing is for sure he will have another cracking season this year.

Hopefully we'll reap the rewards of McBanana's uselessness with Crabtree having had all the off season to address all of his niggles and rest up. With that and the extra support in the forwards he has this year, I expect him to be even more immense than he was last season.

Him and JP were far and away the best prop forwards in SL last season. Look how much good a non international stint did JP!

Well what did we learn tonight?

Hard to tell realy as it was our first game and there was rustiness there that was to be expected. BUT

we need to improve our discipline. Refs seem to be looking for a quicker and cleaner PTB.

Danny needs tp practice his goal kicking.

Murph and Jerry will be playing their hearts out week after week. One bad game and their season could be over if Broughton gets in.
