On our board that we have signed Hardaker and Crooks is going to Leigh to make way. Also states Denny Solomona will be sold so the Hardaker signing will be to soften the blow.

I had heard that the money offered for Solomona was way way more than Cas could afford to turn down, Who knows if it will turn out to be true. I can see on field Hardaker could be superb at Cas, Off field who knows. All will be reveiled in due course.

Its the off field bit i'm worried by..... On field there is no denying he would be the best FB in the league by a long way if he is at his best, but will his off field antics ever allow him to be at his best. Personally i dont think so and i think whoever gets him is taking a big risk that could backfire.

Looks like its close, agreed personal terms with them. Will certainly mean we are on the lookout now though, if we were indeed in for him. Very good player but not too disappointed as I can't see Hardaker changing personality anytime soon, if he can't do it at a club like Leeds, not sure its going to happen at Cas longterm, with his 'mates' on his doorstep.

I think most clubs say that just to temper fans expectation. Can't recall often clubs coming out and saying "yeah we've got a good chunk of SC left to spend". Apparently we had no cap space left last year and then we signed Ferres off you about 2/3 weeks later.

Crooks confirmed on loan to Leigh so looks about right that they have made space for Hardaker. Wouldn't have minded crooks actually to cover centre.

Disappointing we couldn't get this over the line, makes the mamo deal more critical. Hope we sign a centre with Eorl's salary (assuming Wardle won't be playing there this year)

Am sure the club have known for weeks about the Hardaker deal going dead. The lad wanted a move to Cas so let him go. It's a potential time bomb swerved if nothing else.

The salary cap will be being taken up by the Bradford 3 plus Huby, who he is really trying to move on. If we find homes for those 4 then cap space will be freed up.

Either way, bullet proof Thewlis is getting off scotfree. Thank the lord that Rick Stone came in when he did to start sorting the absolute shambles that was unfolding.

The fact he wants to move to cas shows how the club are right to stay away. Moving closer to his idiot mates who are part of his off field issues and affect his behaviour. The fact he doesn't want to stay well away from them says it all.

Can't really disagree with any of that. That said I hope he does sort himself out and he goes well for Cas, He has the game, but is it the most important thing to him.

TBF it's hardly like Hudds and Castleford are that far apart. He'd still be around his mates had he gone to Hudds. I also think too much blame is placed on "his idiot mates".
