| Quote ="fartown since 1961"Well pardon me for entering this debate but Leeming and Woolford don’t get on hence the problem.
It’s not the first time either and Woolfords strength isn’t being forgiving.
The club have circulated him for £50,000 to all SL clubs but Leeds don’t want to pay it.
Leeming wants to go LEEDS are likely to offer an overseas player but it needs an overseas spot and he’s on high wages so it’s down for negotiation.
I like Kruise but he’s very inconsistent and lost us 4pts last year with his silly idea of passing into the opposition in close games. Once at Cas once at Wakey.
Like Lunt I feel he needs to leave us now as he doesn’t want to play for us anymore and needs someone new to knock some discipline into him.
Like Jake Connor sad but inevitable but this time we have a chance to demand a replacement or get some salary cap space and cash to replace him and move on, something we should do...'"
Not sure which player Leeds would offer with regards to overseas. We have Martin, Hurrell on non fed trained quota, then Cuthbertson, Lui, Merrin, Seumanufagai on the overseas quota with Matt Prior rumoured to be coming too.
Using common sense, you’d think you are talking about Cuthbertson as the others are all newish.

I took it with a pinch of salt as I do all rumours but I’ve heard it from someone I know who knows a member of Leemings family and Hurrell is the name I’ve heard could be right could be miles out. Myler was the first offer and we turned it down supposedly. Trouble is he’s on far bigger money than Leeming and we don’t want to carry it all.
Same source says they will announce Sezer when his visa comes through.

Cuthbertson would do well enough, or Hurrell but i don's see that happening.
Incidentally does anyone know the state of play regarding Cudjo, Turner, or Joe Wardle, are any of them likely to be on the field at the start of the season or is it going to be the usual ( nearly there, another month etc ) which generally turns out to be half the season.

Cudjoe = crocked. Back in a brace and wont be taking part in preseason.
Uate = Back in rehab. Wont be fit for the start of the season.
Wardle & Turner = Both fit and and taking part in pre season.

| Quote ="jools"If the Kruise thing comes to be then I will be seriously considering whether I will be supporting the club going forward to the extent I have in the past. It indicates a very short sighted view by the club and coach. We would be strengthening a rival club who don’t have much cover in that position whilst putting ourselves in that position.
I don’t agree he’s not our best 9. Kruise is the kind of player we should be building around. He’s a match winner and unplayable when he’s at his best. Potential England no 9- Something I can’t see AOB ever being- much as he’s solid he’s not got the x-factor of Kruise.
We would put ourself in a position of being left short for specialist players in the 9 position for next season- I don’t believe we currently have 4 specialist 9s and we also expect to run a reserve squad!
Frawley and AOB at 9 is not what I want to see next year. I’m not convinced by butterworth as yet as he’s yet to test himself at SL- and with reserve spots to fill- and no academy player to step up where would that leave us?'"

| Uate situation is an absolute mess. We signed him crocked, he didn't take part in preseason, we then asked him to play while injured because we didn't want to play our youth. This resulted in 7 or 8 abysmal performances from Uate and then will be crocked for 12 months by the time he plays again and the youth having to play anyway.
By the time hes back hell be 33 and will have hardly played in 2-3 years. I fully believe Darnell and the Seniors will be better than him next year even when hes back fit.

| Kruise is the only player on our side with genuine evasion skills, he could be world class if he gets in the right environment, he really does have it all. Will be a real shame to see him go, but like with Connor i don't think it's ever going to happen at our club for him, so i would be happy to see him do well elsewhere.

It's just par for the course at the Giants mate, and it never changes, It's why i haven't renewed my season ticket this time. I expect i'll get some flack about not being a true fan and all that but hey ho. They haven't made the changes at the club that would have persuaded me to renew so i will be picking the games i go too this time .

Leeds only have two centre's on their books the rest are kids so I doubt very much it would be Hurrell.

| Giants are now in a tug of war battle with Canterbury Bulldogs over Sezer. If we don't manage to sign him, and Kruise leaves (seems guaranteed). Are we f*@k*d next season? Or can either Frawley, Holmes or Russell raise there game to a level we need to take us where we need to be?
To be honest, the longer the Sezer saga continues, the less likely he is to sign. Seems like we put all our eggs in one basket and we are going to miss out.

If sezer isn’t signed then losing Kruise really is going to hurt us, and We are one hooker injury away from disaster!

On Canberra Raiders fans forum, to be interviewed by "Clarky on facebook" but for some reason was postponed. The article behind it says it is definitely us!

| While on lions tour was told from a very reliable source that Fartown had signed a new Australian half back. If this does not come off it will go down like a lead balloon with players and supporters alike. Getting worried now that it may have fallen through. You would think a major signing before season ticket deadline would be a big boost. I hope this signing comes through quickly as the squad now looks a lot weaker than this time last year and we all know how that went.

Keep the faith.
When we do sign this new half back (hopefully in the near future), although I'm no marketing expert, wouldn't it be good PR for the Giants to extend the season ticket deadline (say by a month)?
