A couple of years ago when we desperately tried to sign a half we couldn't find one. This season almost every SL club seems to be either signing or releasing half backs.... are we still in the market? Is Ellis off the agenda? Can we do better?

Ellis is ok but if we won't to be a top team we need to do better, next year looks like lunts last year robbo now past his sell by date brough not getting any younger(2 to 3 years) . so as pivots your left with wood and 2 young lads in conner and leamming and grix at fullback

not sure we are in the market for one other than ellis.

other teams are rebuilding whilst we have a settled team... our best chance of winning some silverware last season and this.. fear that if it doesnt happen then we will have another loooong wait

Kris Keating has been released by Hull KR....dunno if he would be an option, can't say i've particularly noticed him when we've played them though.

lt will be very difficuilt to get a top halfback to play under Brough, Broughy has to be top dog, and will not want anyone upstaging him
Woody was coming on ok, and would have accepted the roll as second fiddle, l think thats why Brown left, and why Broughy was made captain.

like daz says, we really can't afford to be buying in big names, we either go with what we have or we scour the championships,we have come up trumps this way before

Why carn,t we afford a certain player, we have the same spending money as every other club, the thing that usually swings it, is the length of contract, l doubt there are many , if any player on over 90K a year.

crabtree , brough and faiumu are on more than that.

i feel we do need to replace robinson at half back, he is just too slow and his passing options are awful at times, back to hooker with lunt? worked well before , ellis has a better kicking game which could take pressure off brough
