| Both teams knocked out of the cup and looking to bounce back infront of the sky tv cameras!
Every game is a big game now as we try to hold on too our top 4 spot.
Id like to see Leeming return in place of Robinson for this one.
Cudjoe went off injured v leeds, hope he is back but of not we have connor to come in.
Ferres played well in his first game back so expect him to play again with wardle at centre.
Need to start this game with high intensity, which was lacking on saturday from the first minute
can only see the usual loyal 200/300 fans going to this one. We win and its 'oh its only castleford' we lose and this forum will go into meltdown...

| Even some of the regulars are missing this one ..... Always look forward to Cas, usually decent games and good crack with their lot.... Need to win to get confidence back up. Leroys knee looked in a bad way and I certainly wouldn't risk him if not 100%.

To be fair the Giants who are regularly claimed to be punching above their weight should have the beating of Cas ( who possibly are punching above their weight ).
Whenever I watch Cas more often than not they seem to have great team spirit, on occasions it carries them through to a win in games where you would expect them to get beat. The Giants show this from time to time against a few teams , Wigan, Saints and particularly Leeds in recent years, almost never against Wolves or the lesser sides. I don't know why this is or if it's worse here that anywhere else but it is something I put in the Coach's court , whoever the team.

| cas are a bit hit and miss, they win a couple and then are on the end of a shellacking, both teams coming off the back off cup hammerings will want to put that behind them with a vital 2 league points.
could be an edgy close game but we said that on saturday!
i'd be surprised if we even managed 200 to be honest, you know how fickle our fans are, especially after a tonking like that!
those who do go, let's all get together in the princess street and lets all make some noise!!

Always a tough game over at Castleford, even the likes of Wigan have lost there this season...
we beat them comfortably at home not so long ago. Also we beat Warrington which was a great night seems to have been forgotten getting that monkey off our back!

| I think it is very important we show a big bounce back this week. In the past we have been guilty of letting a bad result affect us. I think with a good convincing victory we will all be able to move past the Leeds game and focus. I also believe Anderson is in a position where he needs to blow away the question mark that hangs over him. Whether you think he should be sacked or not you cannot deny he made mistakes on Saturday with tactics/teams selection but he has an opportunity to put that to bed on Thursday.

| Leeds were coming off L,D,L and Sinfield had a point to prove. I wouldn't worry about that game going forwards, aside from Cudjoe getting injured. There's a couple of options to fill in there in a straight swap though: Connor, Hughes & Lawrence. I'd like to see Murphy inside and Broughton on the wing.

| team for me would be
grix
murphy
wardle
connor
jerry
brough
wood
huby
robbo
mullally
ferres
hughes
bruno
leeming
ta'ai
koppy
Eorl
i always still think Eorl is better coming off the bench, mullally has a bit of aggression about him and we need that from the off, we start too many games on the back foot, leeming will do a job on cas' tired forrards and ta'a'i will run amok against tired halves down the middle.
looking at our forwards though we just haven't got enough aggression apart from ta'ai and mullally, huby will wan a big game against his mates, i hope we see the huby we saw when he was at cas not the 3rd half back we have him playing
Eorl

That's pretty much the team is want to see.
Hubys go forward has been conspicuous in its absence, He doesn't attack the line hard enough for me, he slows down every time he gets to the line whilst looking to get the ball away. I'd like to see him run full pelt!

| at castleford huby was the main go forward man, a battering ram who was able to scatter defenders and get offloads away and was a thorn in our side every time we played them, he ran hard, fast and straight.
i know it's probably our tactics but to me he is used a ball playing prop in the mould of graham, we need him to make the big carries and get us on the front foot, let him run from deep and bust holes in the opposition lines, only mullally looks like doing this at the moment.

Huby isnt that type of prop forward, hes more a ball playing prop abit like what sculthorpe was for us too.
mullally, kopczak, taai are the battering ram types
crabtree is still our top metre maker in the forwards on 1215
huby second on 1119
taai 3rd 1108
kopczak 4th 1050

There seems to be an opinion that Huby has not been the same player as he was at Castleford. The truth though is he has never been a strong ball carrier. His strenghts are his offloading skills and his defence and workrate. However in the last 4 seasons this is his average metrers per carry.
2014 6.05
2013 6.47
2012 5.55
2011 5.97
So it is not the Giants that have slowed down his go forward.
