'Bond -it' are an Elland based adhesive manufacturing company apparently,and a club sponsor.

Afraid don't know any more. Suspect it is a marketing campaign - which is working as we are talking about it.
Bond it are adhesive company's - raising their profile or perhaps a discounted shirt if we purchase a product etc. Could have used some strong adhesive tape on sinfields mouth on Sunday (apologies - a cheap dig )

You are right though from a marketing point of view (I am from Bond It) it is working as you are talking about the new shirts but we are hoping to be a little different this year!! However rest assured - no inferior quality, you dont have to buy Bond It product and no cheap gimmicks. All will be revealed shortly!!

LOL - we have the technology - we can always look at sticky gloves if thats what you want!! So why all the negativity around the shirts, what was the problem with the stuff in circulation from last year?? We are doing our best to support local businesses and charities , hence why we were more than happy to support our local RL Team - we think what we are planning to do will be viewed as very charitable and as fans you WILL benefit!!

why the negativity?
because our replica shirts are usually poor quality and to some of the 'older' fans absolutely horrible designs and nothing remotely like a traditional fartown shirt, thats why the retro shirts are popular

The retro shirts are popular for a variety of reasons - quality being one, but also because some of our older fans are still living in the past!
Personally I like both - ill wear my retro shirt in the cooler months and my replica in summer. We need to move with the times - the idea of replica shirts is they are supposed to replicate what the players wear - im sure they wouldnt want to go back to heavy cotton shirts. We are no longer "Fartown" but are now the "Giants" sad but true and if we want to continue to grow then thats they way its going to have to go. Tradition is all very well - but for the majority of our fans its meaningless, sadly we have to cater for the majority.

I wasn't meaning the fabric of the shirt i was meaning the design....i will admit i am one of the 'living in the past' brigade and i am of the opinion that any other than a claret and gold hoped shirt isn't a 'Fartown' shirt.....i do realise that in these times the shirts are aimed more at the modern, newer, younger fans as stated by the club itself sometime but i'm a traditionalist and will ot buy something that isn't, in my eyes, anything like a 'Fartown' shirt.

I think that even newcomers are proud of the fact we "started it all"
And I`ll go with the fact that the club have to create income from merchandise 100% in order to compete with the top four for income

But for Daz and others who are proud of the pre Giants age --despite the fact that there were hard times--and of the claret and gold hoops that (lets face it ) are a "one-off" and unique --why shouldnt they wear one ?
They are after all the TRUE club colours!
Its only SKY with their alternative strip theory that started all clubs leaving their roots behind --and that is SAD --whatever your age !
