To be honest, I didn't know he was ill. It's only a week or two since I last saw him, Cardiff in fact.
He was a Fartowner, a walker, a traveller, he was a Scout at Crosland Hill before me, he was, well, he did all manner of activities.
I hope the club will recognise his passing.

Knew Brian a long time, shared a room with him on the 2008 world cup tour, by the end of the trip 250 fellow travellers from all clubs new him. He knew everything about his beloved "Fartown" (never got used to calling them Giants)
and most thing about Rugby League and its history,
He will be sadly missed.
Don,t be surprised, when you get to St Peters gates there,s been a change to the colour scheme.

Didnt know Brian personally --but as he was a keen supporter, its highly likely I have been in his company now and again over the years and known him by sight
So sad to lose a fellow fan and my thoughts are with his friends and family

Brian was a lovely man, a great Fartown fan and in inveterate 'quizer'. He will be sorely missed by friends in many areas as well as by his family.
