| After a 185 mile drive from working in Carlisle to get to HKR I have the following observations to make. We started off poor, then started to play, then took off Crabtree and Ta'ai and let them back into the game at 22-12.
Their pack monstered us apart from Ta'ai and showed the folly of leaving out Patrick and playing Dwyer for a few minutes in a game where we were at least a forward short. We also like the St Helen's match conceded and looked mediocre when Dwyer was on the field.
Rumour has it they think Fuey is too slow around the play the ball but he's better than Dwyer who should be on the first bus back to Warrington I can't see any benefit to us after the last two matches.
Finally how many times is Grix going to get stripped in his own 20 he was a menace again last night and that along with poor discipline, the wrong tactics and a Hull KR side who on the night were far superior except for a purple 12 minutes spell shows we still have a long way to go.
Ukuma Ta'ai was outstanding but taken off the field too soon and left off too long for me PA got it wrong last night and we looked like we need the two weeks off.

| Playing Friday was wrong when you played Monday. you say forwards were dominated then this would have been a big factor. Who agreed that you played Friday?

| I would never play Dwyer, fuey and lunt in.the same squad!
Lunt is the business in every week!
Fuey ok slower in distribution but good step and offload!
Dwyer a pacey, excitable player but in the fairy tale of wire the book reads Dwyer goes back and scores the winning try against us in the quarter final! Could happen! Get shut and get leeming in. Rather develop our own than help a player from one of our main rivals.
Anderson may have got little bits wrong but its his first year and although he won't use the short turn around as a reason we have some big lads in our squad takes longer for them to recover.
On top of that we have had hard games
Catalan, wire, Leeds, widness, Bradford, saints before this game with one loss not bad by my standing!

| Did he get it wrong or was his hand forced. I didn't go but from the commentary it sounds like we were fatigued, poor goal line defence isnt usually associated with us, dropped ball and sloppy passing sounded to be happening more often than usual too. perhaps Patrick didn't play because he hadn't sufficiently recovered-no point in 'resting' him otherwise as they have two weeks off.
The lads have got some time off (most of them) many are going away in holiday and will come back refreshed and raring to go.

| We are mad using Dyer in my opinion but it was lacklustre last night and don't take me wrong providing we play well against Leeds it's fine.
However we could have played Cording rather than Dyer last night as we effectively ran a three man bench.
But Ukuma didn't look tired and he has played amongst the longest minutes of all but we rested him for too long.
His run down the wing area and kick inside was spectacular amongst other breaks I am convinced we have a star in the making.

| I,ve been saying for some time certainly as far back as the Widnes away game, Taai has been battering the players he comes up against.
The beast is out, watch out!

This game was pencilled in as a Friday game when the initial fixtures came out. So well before the TV fixtures giving Huddersfield a Monday night game came out. We also played 24 hrs earlier not as if we previously played on the Friday and had a full week off.

| Just shows again that we are short in the front row against the bigger packs especially without Fielden. Crabtree is left to do far too much on his own and I have to say I am a little disappointed in Kopczak after his great start for us. He needs to up his work rate with ball in hand.
