| Yes, aware that this is somewhat jumping the gun, but thought that it might be an interesting topic for discussion.
Fev have loaned Dane Chisholm to Broncos for two weeks, a period that expires just after the latters' visit to LSV.
This mined from The Bulls' forum:
Quote ="dddooommm"......Some Rovers fans on Twitter are suggesting that they are attempting to strengthen the teams that are playing against Leigh to try and gain an advantage at the top of the league.'"
Don't think, with the greatest of respect to both DC and LB, we need worry too much about this loan, but would be interested to learn who (from Fev) posters wouldn't want to meet every other week.
Bongser also asks, if this is to be taken as a genuine tactic, are Rovers fretting?

| Personally it wouldn’t surprise me if Dane has played his last game at Fev. He doesn’t appear to fit in with Big MaCs structured game plan and given the fact that we have Jacks/Smith/Holmes/Gill/Wildie/Jones as well as Dane for 2 half back spots plus hooker and maybe one bench spot something has to give since 7 into 4 doesn’t fit. FWIW Holmes is just back from a loan deal at Sheffield without playing Leigh.

| Come to Leigh Dane Chisholm. Not sure Fev would want to sell to Leigh.

| Wouldn't want Chisholm anyway. No better than what we have already got and there's likely better in Oz.
Surprised we were not able to sign Ford. Maybe there are other irons in the fire!

| Not sure I wanted Ford either. He is a liability in defence and does not like being tackled. Just get Ioanne or Amone to charge at him and a huge gap will appear.

Seriously Reynolds better than Chisholm. Dane has moved the troops round the park well every time I have seen him, which is a damn sight more than "1 good game in 10" Reynolds.

| And I think that Reynolds will offer more over the season than Chisholm and although currently injured Reynolds is not as injury prone as Chisholm.

When was the last time Chisholm missed a game, or a series of games, due to injury?

So you're basing the "injury-prone" tag on his period at Hull KR, which ended in 2015?

| Derek has said on twitter (don’t do twitter but saw a copy of the post on Facebook) that we did not show interest in Kerallah or Ford, though both were offered. He also said we are recruiting to strengthen so neither must have looked that way to Lam and Chester.
He did say that there is still plenty of time and one will be announced soon enough.
I must say that the additions so far do seem to mirror exactly that statement of recruitment to strengthen, so no reason to doubt we will be stronger as the season goes on.
Right now I believe we are strong enough to beat Fev with their two recent additions.
Patience and support Leythers.

Good post VL, however, i think Fev just have the edge over us atm but, as the season progresses, i think/hope we are in a stronger/better position to do the business when it matters, hopefully (without any key injuries).

Agreed that it is a very fine line between us right now Cokey. I would not feel 100% confident that we could beat them but do believe we just have the edge with a fully fit team (and that could be the difference come playoff time). That said I didn’t get where I am today by knowing lots about our great game
(Also, come playoffs we have to have an eye to winning the games to get us to the final, which I don’t take for granted with a few teams that can be strong on the right day)

| Evening fellahs (& lasses). Irish chap came into Bongsers gaffe today, a Wigan fan who we usually only see over from Ireland when The Pies are in a Grand Final (as it happened he'd flown over for 'the derby'). Knowing Bongser's allegiance of old, he asked whether Fev were a worry and if DB would wave his cheque book at that problem. Answers:
a) yes of course
b) he is already doing so when the right players become available in the opinion of the management that he has put in place - rather than a scatter gun approach.
For Bongser no panic buy on a prop, if a loan prop is not available, others from the pack can & will step up to the plate. Sounds like Green & Ioane should be back in time for the next Fev game - and it won't be being played on a water polo "pitch".
Up The Comics!

| Men against boys. Reynolds pass when he came on to Inu must be a try of the season. Exceptional pass and an excellent individual try. The rest must have done him good. Forwards look the part and Mellor is again on another level.
The future looks bright.

| Evenin' Atomic, hope you're well?
You're right, Joe has been excellent this season but he took a knock latish on and looked hurt before he even hit the deck. He always invites a lot of hammer, takes it and shrugs it off, so to see him still massaging his shoulder five minutes on is a concern. Thought with the scoreline the way it was that he should have been subbed and spent the last few minutes on the physio table.
Hoping for good news soon but Lammy likes to play stony faced poker so we'll probably only know when the team sheet for Sheffield (I) comes out.
