Ryan Brierley back on an initial one month’s loan.Adds some much needed pace to the backline.Always thought the 2015 side had the best back line of recent years with Ryan at it’s heart.

I dont really care where he's from or how long they have been around. Bottom line is we now have the fastest halfback in the championship, who we know can play the game, and we know can fit right in with his halfback partner. All that and he is exactly what we need, at exactly the right time, at an initial minimal cost.
Tough to see a down side.

I’m not sure how you think he can fit right in,in a month given the handful of games he’s played for Toronto. It’s not the same Brierley that left us for a 5 year contract with Hudds.

Did you not notice our halfback situation at the end of the Dewsbury game? Ryan will fill in nicely for us.

I would suggest his agent has made his client a sack full of money over the last few years, and that continues to roll in as long as he has his Toronto contract.
The fact that Ryan has not made a success on the field is not his agents fault.

with it looking like Josh woods is injured for a few weeks and riddy carrying a injury plus it doesn't look like Richardson will be back I think the club have done well to get Ryan even if it is for a month to cover he injuries

Cokey I know the situation. But I don't bow down so easy as some do, just to fill a space. As for Richardson I would presume most of his training days where spent at Saints, given he is full time and paid by them.

I agree with what you're saying Gunner. I just don't think with the handful of games he's played with Toronto is of benefit to us over a 4 week period, but if we have no halfback, then we have little choice but to take him on. Not sure what, if any, the other options where.

The question would be, was that the only available option? I can't answer that. If it was fair enough. Not sure what happens in 4 weeks time as that injury on Josh didn't look good.

If it's just to cover injuries in the short term then fine, I can go with that. If it is with a view to a permanent deal in future then I think it is another backwards step, a-la Emmit !

I'm glad we've signed Brierley, hopefully he'll be our number 7 for the rest of the season.
