If Featherstone were to lose by 10 against London.
If Featherstone were to lose by 30 against Toronto.
We would need a winning margin in our last 2 home games averaging 29 points.
Any increase or decrease in Featherstones margin, increases or decreases our required winning averages vice versa.
Tense. I am so hoping for Toulouse and Featherstone victories next week to place it in our own hands.

| All ifs and buts. For what it is worth I think Halifax will beat Toulouse ,who will beat Dewsbury. I think that Featherstone will beat London, but lose to Toronto . Finally I think that the top six will win all games against the bottom 6
. So Toronto 43 Toulouse 33 Halifax 33 Featherstone 32 Leigh 32 London 31 . Best wishes to all the teams. Rumours abound about next year's structure anyway

Doubt they need a rest, after playing teams who can't even send a full squad of 17 players.

| Toronto won't be playing the reserves as they don't have any! Pownall and Ngwati would be two of their weaker players and they are both on loan.
I am not worried about the team they play as even if they rotate two or three players, it won't affect the outcome of the game - as long as they don't subconsciously or deliberately take their foot off the gas. Will they? They won't want to give up their 100% home record or disappoint their paying public. Plus it would be very obvious to spot and why risk sanctions or even (more) bad publicity? And also, they would probably rather have us taking points of the SL teams in the 8's rather than Fev/Fax or London proving to be outclassed. They have beaten us three times this season, so they won't be worried about whether they can make it 4!
Nope, I think next week is the big one as far as we are concerned. The funny thing is that I honestly don't believe we deserve to be in the top 4 after the season we have had - fortunately RL never operates on what 'should' happen!

Totally agree with your last paragraph ML, but taking points off any of the the SL teams we would be expected to play I can't honestly see that happening, collectivley we are to slow over the ground with ball in hand, and to weak and disorganised in defence to trouble those teams that are playing at a faster pace and against better oposition each week, my opinion off course!

If we do make the top 4 - what's to fear:
Done Featherstone away
Done Toulouse away
Done Halifax home - thanx Snowy
Robbed at Blackpool
Done Salford ( superdooper team)
Done London 3 times
The team now, is not the team at the beginning.
What more do you want them to do?
Just need to get top 4
Then we will see if we are good enough or not.

Halifax stuffed us at the Shay. In fact, it was our heaviest defeat bar Leeds!

Apologies
Your right they did!
What I was getting at is we have beat all the top 4 sides and came close at Blackpool against Toronto and done Salford too

| I think we can forget points difference now. Whilst ours is superior to Fax (by 99) it is inferior to Fev (by 97) and London (by 120) We could overhaul Fev, as long as we don't put in another shift like Saturday, but we won't catch London.
At the end of the day, we need Fax to drop at least one point to Toulouse (Fax have Rochdale at home in the last match) and London to drop two points against Fev. (London are at Barrow in the last match) If London get a result at Fev, we are reliant on Toronto beating Fev in the last match - and us making up the 99 points!
[uWhat it simply boils down to is Toulouse getting at least a draw next weekend.[/u

This is the good thing about sport Zulu, it is about opinions, I stated we would not beat any present SL team in the qualifiers should we be fortunate enough to get there, I never mentioned our would be opponents from the Championship as you have decided to highlight with the previous results, my perception is based on seeing our would be oppnents on TV, and comparing them to watching Leigh in all but 3 of their games this season.
This present team of ours is not as well prepared (through not playing at the higher level this season) or in my opinion has better personnel on the pitch to compete in the qualifiers as we had last season, what is your opinion ?
Obviously I would take great delight in being proven wrong but I can't see us making even the MPG should we qualify.

| I take your point Harry, but a winning run, momentum behind you, a little rub off the green and 17 players adrenalin pumping on mass it is difficult to say what will or will not happen to us if we find ourselves in the 8s.
Look at 2016. We were not playing well at all leading up to it. Snatching wins in the dying moments (Sheffield away ) We nearly blew our first qualifier at home to London with a poor performance and somehow hung on in the second one against Salford. We then went on to win the next 4 qualifiers to clinch SL. 6 from 6.

I don't think his ego/pride would let him do that, just depends if he is bitter or petty. I would hope he wants a winning team to display his AWESOME coaching ability to the Canadians
