They should be free for season ticket holders in the West for CC games. That way they may turn up.

Not sure what your point was, the attendance was way above what we have been getting for league games, and the Salford fans didn't make up the difference. And when you consider the Widnes/Leeds attendance the fans need applauding not criticising

I’d be amazed if the people that have already backed the club by purchasing a season ticket would not buy a ticket for the CC, unless they simply couldn’t make a Friday night for some reason. More than 4000 is not be sniffed at when Salford are such a thinly supported team, especially away from home. However if some chose not to come then why slate them when they were the first to back the club even though we were demoted.

I am a season ticket holder and started work at 7PM Friday, gutted I could not make it - Would have been there if it was at 3PM Saturday or Sunday, do it regulary - Game at 3, get home after the match, get changed and off to work.

Just have to wait and see who we get in the next round and the day / time of the game

Annoying this post - I am a West Stand SST holder. Had to take a holiday in May and so booked it on the CC weekend as there was no gaurantee we would still be in it or at home. The attendance was relatively good when you look at the number of Salford fans and compare the attendance to other games played that weekend.

Yes, I had to book an holiday myself for the match. I'm not a season ticket holder but to be honest in my own interest so far this season it would have been better financially for me to get one.Then again I'm supporting the club more financially by not having one and don't have to carry the mindset of its not covered by my ST so I'm not going.

You may find the post annoying,but its true for the majority of ST holders. People state I'm slating the fans,yet the mindset and affordability is the reason the majority of ST holders don't show up for CC games. So you need to put something on the table that entices them to attend,hence the tongue in cheek free prawn butties.

Used to bring our own, until the 'food police' cracked down on it, at the turnstiles. Now we just bring loud fireworks and an irritating drum! But, pleasurable as the fireworks and drum are, you can never replace the prawn butties!

I made my feelings very clear to Mr Beaumont on that score. They told me I could no longer bring my Hot flask of Vegetable Soup in to keep warm on a freezing afternoon in February. I was livid beyond belief when they told me I could purchase the 'Contents of my flask at the Kiosk' - Hot soup?

Anyway me and my hot soup were no longer welcome and immediately banned,a rigid new stewarding policy was then implemented requiring a body search on all over 85s for warm flasks and Lancashire Cheese sarnies, only resulting in a young Featherstone supporter's dangerous selection of fireworks walking in A OK !

They did not meet the LSV Hot Flask Character profiling for a body search sadly. A pity that.

My young grandson was stopped at the turnstile at Featherstone yesterday. He was carrying his 'hoodie' to avoid suspicion, but had his bottle of Lucozade wrapped in it. The steward duly found said bottle and then pronounced it fine to take in with him. A bit of common sense prevailed.

I've tried telling the missus that, entering the LSV, wearing a body belt containing food & drink, is likely to arouse suspicion, and I'd rather go hungry and thirsty for eighty minutes!
