They were in for him when we signed him. As 'atomic' says, we need a replacement first, especially as Reynolds could well be facing a ban now. Hutchison worked very hard yesterday, and played his full part in an excellent team performance, but for my money, he seems to be half a yard off the pace, and his kicking game could be a lot better. Personally, I think he would struggle in SL.

Of course, if he went, we could always use the fee to tempt Featherstone to part with one of their halfbacks.....

League Express today reports that unnamed club/clubs have made approaches for at least three of our players over the last few weeks. Hutchinson, Mat'uatia and Bodene Thompson have been named. The approaches have been rejected so far.
We need to keep the squad together and continue to build the siege mentality that has been evident in the last two games.
These players owe it to Derek and the fans to stay loyal to Leigh. I appreciate that loyalty counts for little these days, especially in sport, but I hope the club and the players in question ignore these approaches.

DB has said if you don't make the top 4 minimum the club is in trouble financially. After your bad start its looking ever likely you wont go up. Maybe now is the time to offload some of the cost and let a few go rather than cripple the club.

If as he says we don't reach the top 4,the gap to fill would be around £1.46m. I doubt offloading players would reduce that to an acceptable figure that he would fill. Then again its not really in his own interest with such a high stake at risk,not to be looking for solutions.

You wont go part time next year as the players are tied in to 2 years. No £500k Parachute payment, maybe no top 4 money, a 1.62 Million salary. That's a big hole. I suspect if you lose to London Monday the reality will hit home with DB

Derek said he couldn't bridge the gap between central funding and the squad cost if we didn't make T4, he would change his loans to donations for others to take over if needed - this is a fantastic offer from a bloke obviously so passionate about LRLFC. IMO we can make T4, we need a prop and we look balanced. If losing Baptiste and Thompson B allow a quality prop to come in I feel we will finish very strong and if we hit 4th we will go up
