We need to get the season back on track and we can do this by getting into the winning habit again. Lets not fool ourselves, we are heading for the middle 8s whether we like it or not so we need to send a marker out to HKR and the rest of the Championship.

Sport is all about confidence, and again (even though we were poor again on Monday) we must take a positive out of the Hull game as we did not get pummelled. In fact, considering we are half way through the season, our points for / against is commendable.

Highams injury should not hinder us, but we need to play HKR AS the SL side and absolutely kill them round the ruck area. Speed and intensity will eventually kill off any Championship side.

Hood and Pellissier will be just fine should our pack get a roll on.

Weston, Stewart and Hansen will need to do more as our senior talisman because all 3 have been very very quiet of late.

Its over to you boys. we cannot afford to run out second stringers. A good solid start that we normally rely on has not been there for a number of weeks, nor has the hostilities of Leigh playing at the LSV.

There will be a lot of eyes looking at the result come Saturday. Alot of noise could be taken away in one good 80 minute performance.

We have no idea what the team will be, or if we will have 17 to pick from.

I predict a comfortable win for Leigh. We may compete for part of the game but we are not good enough i'm afraid to get the win.

If truth be told although itd be nice to pick up a win here, I'd sooner play Leigh at an almost full strength 17 to give a yardstick of where Hkr are at. Still think there's shortcomings in our side (Halves and forwards) in particular. A win against a weak Leigh outfit might paper over it.

Take it from me, Leigh are absolutely shot to pieces on the injury front.

While accepting that you have some injuries according to some of your recent posts, you are not the only ones. For the past few games with the odd exception, we(HKR) have had both first choice centres, first choice winger, hooker, full back, both second rowers and props missing.
Against Fev we lost two more to medium/long term injuries, and against Toulouse we played a lot of kids because we had to.
Hopefully we will have some first choices back and give you a game, but this could go either way and will at least give us a pointer to where we stand for later on.
Re.Childs, we have suffered big time at his hands, same as Hicks and Thaler, so we do not expect any favours from him.
Be interesting to see what happens, but this game is not our priority.

I don't think this game is Leigh's either? As an indicator for you, a win could prove your undoing just has it did to Leigh 2015! We made the headlines beating Salford at home and winning at Wakefield too! however, by the quarter final at Warrington it was beginning to tell on us! When the middle 8s came around we were 'spent' injuries to key players saw both Salford and Wakefield gain retribution for their earlier 'embarrassing' defeats. You may recall your victory at the LSV? we were winning comfortably at HT only to eventually implode and, lose!

Naming a 19 man squad on paper is one thing, actually playing on one leg, one knee, one hamstring etc is another.

The last thing that Leigh need in our present parlous state injury-wise is a Pyrrhic victory that leaves us even more vulnerable in SL. Ninth or tenth is not a disaster given the seeding for the M8s.

What a load of old cacka. In 2015 you had a Rowley team who chucked the ball about trying to play Harlem Globetrotter style Rugby League. Defence and basic game management was a complete anathema to that smug prat of a coach at the time. Thankfully you learnt your lesson last year and toned it down when necessary and brought in experienced players with more skill and some on field leadership quality. Right ingredients, perfect recipe. Be flattered as we are aiming to emulate your 2016 mix to some degree this year.

To reproduce Leigh's 2016 season would require an early CC exit. Given your defeat at Toulouse would say thats not the case.If you think laying a marker down in the CC stands you in good stead for the 8's,you need to think again.

Adam Higson will not be fit to play and we will also have a full back on Sunday , who has never played full back for Leigh before. Interesting.
