WTF was that! No enthusiasm in attack or defence, no creativity and e kicking game. Missed Drinkwater massively and missed Stewart massively. Riddy was anonymous, so was Dayne. Higson was all over the place. Only players to come out with any credit were Micky, Hock Brown and Hansen.

I didn't go listened on radio Dayne never got mentioned once I thought he must of got injured in warm up,riddy is no where near super league standard when are people going to realise this,think we went in to this game just thinking we had to turn up which u can't do .

widnes kicking game was 100% if not more better than ours .widnes out enthused us just like wakefield did

Think widnes lost 4 players with head knocks too during the game so only had 13 players for a considerable time

Weird one this, you could tell by the the opening '5 or 10' minutes, Widnes 'wanted it more', and old cliche, but they did. Taking nothing away from Widnes, but that was abysmal from us. Play that next week, and the scoreline will be even bigger.

Everyone knows that I am a champion of Ben Reynolds game often but today he was 'Utter C@RP', Rocky was Carp too & so was Riddy.

Well done Widnes, beat us in every area of the game today, forwards lost, backs lost, tackling diabolical, kicking game even worse. How do you not find touch ? Widnes found it every time & with good metres too. In play kicking from Leigh was predictable & $#OOT, straight to a defender most times.

AJ was off his game, Vea ineffective, Mr Tickle too old, even Dayne looked a shadow of his former self.
Only Gaz, H.H & Mitch + maybe Crooks come away with credit for me.

This slap tackling like schoolgirls is unacceptable.

Riddy had his chance to shine today and didn't look like he wanted that chance to me. Not blaming him for the poor performance today but that was woeful by anyone's standards. Can't Ben Reynolds mix his kicking game up a little bit ? It's the same kick at the end of a set of 6 every week and getting really boring now . Ryan Hampshire does not bring a thing to our team and I've said it for weeks now and I will be glad to see Greg McNally back .If we don't play better and improve quickly we could struggle to pick up anymore points for a while * Fact *. A case of "Close but no cigar". Weston looked way off being match fit and was blowing after 10 mins which simply isn't good enough at this level, teams will see it and exploit it . Highlight of the day was the final whistle (Shocking is putting it mildly).

For me, Gaz is worth every penny. Stand out performer this year and again today.

Agree wholeheartedly, Gaz was a leader again today, though I begged him not to get involved in that little spat.

Where has our defence gone to?!

We are never going to score stacks of points - we haven't got the pace and rely heavily on close range tries. Up to last week, the defence was outstanding, but has been very poor the last couple of weeks.

Incidentally, I thought Liam Hood had an excellent game, and we were probably "at our best" (

) when he was on the pitch. He also made what I think was our only break in the 80 minutes!

Widnes, despite their injury problems, showed us exactly what needs to be done - playing solid, safe rugby, (How many errors did they make?) and then , given half a sniff, attack clinically and ruthlessly. Strange, but that's been the best display by a visiting team to LSV - so far.

Widnes wanted it more which is hard to take.
That said we looked busted and tired in the second half v Wakey and save for a 15 spell today looked like a set of players who need rotation (as per last season)but the injuries have started and we don't have the depth or youth set up of established clubs.
I actually thought Hampshire improved today on recent performances but not many others played above average, it was a dreadful advert for so called top flight RL with all the trys scored looking very soft (aside from the Widnes final try which was probably obstruction), throw in a flat atmosphere and today wasn't the best.
Whilst Riddy didn't really get in the game or Weston they will benefit from a run out which will help further down the line, was pleased to see Hood back.
Widnes showed the desire and willpower we lacked and a more positive attacking desire which was enough to win!
Thought official was typical for SL, good in parts, inconsistent in others.
Going forward there's a few things to work on, same mistakes with soft technical penalties must be cut out, we need to play the opposition and not that teams history or standing in the game or league position, we need to work on quick play the balls and ball handling- some players need a week off but nothing to come in so strength in depth short term needs looking at.
Disappointing performance but room for loads of improvement.
