I know everyone is probably at the game but I have to just blow steam and say that I have never heard a worse commentary duo than Jack Dearden and Neil Turley (sorry Neil). I have no idea what is happening in the game other than the score. There is no tackle by tackle commentary, just endless drivel with the odd mention of what is said actually happening after is happens, but with no idea where abouts on the field the play is. Tackle after tackle is never mentioned and suddenly the other team has the ball. How anyone at Radio Manchester can allow this to be put out is unbelievable

Either way when I'm in the pub listening to commentators drone on I'm glad to watch it live the majority of the time.

Cant stand listening to GMR now for any sport. Even football is tripe. They talk about anything but the game. Sack them all. Sicaphantic s. Where has Trev gone anyway?

WISH fm are covering the Leigh games now, their commentary is loads better.

Listening to BBC Radio Leeds....GMR is alway's 60's music on a Sunday afternoon....they are not interested in NON Sooper League games !!

I tried to listen to GMR ON THE Sat morn (Fri night UK time) but all I could get was some dumb music show despite the fact it was advertising the Leigh game, tried Kiss and that was Hull/Saints same as Sky TV, Radio Leeds was Leeds game with doom and gloom updates from LSV - Yorkshire perspective.

What am I doing wrong if Vancouver Leyther can listen to GMR. Any tips for us ex-pats?

Full match commentary was on the 95.1 frequency on the wireless, but not on the DAB frequency. Alternatively go on t'internet and enter 'BBC Rugby League commentaries' for uninterrupted broadcasts of all superleague games. This applies to tomorrow's game against the Wire.

Tunein is free. Your getting confused with tunein premium which is not required to listen to rugby League.

What winds me up about saturdays and Sunday's GMR coverage is that there is a music program right up to 3pm so there is no lead up to the game. The team chat had to be done while the game had already started. Also on Sunday one presenter was late because of the terrible traffic and must have had the broadcast equipment on his car as the other fella who had managed to get there started the commentary on his phone. Oh and I know the names of the two gents.
