Always remember his first game, walking up to the terrace and seeing this player I did not recognise along with lots of others, the thrill when we found out we had swapped Tommy for another Tommy(Gittens) was amazing even though Gitty was good Tommy Martyn was the missing ingredient we needed.
Gone much too soon, best wishes to his family.

Brilliant ball playing 2nd rower signed from Warrington at the start of the1981/2 Championship winning season. Part of the most mobile pack of forwards Leigh have ever had.Always remember his M.o.M performance in the in the last vital home match against HUll KR, who could also have won the title.
