I heard once that he had said something along the lines of "if I don't play for Leigh before I retire, I will never forgive myself" or "I will never here the end of it".

So Stuart did get to play for Leigh but it wasn't his last Club & I distinctly remember him bagging a good few tries against us for Salford at The Willows.

Had to stop calling him Goofy too when he came to Leigh.

A good career then & a good Leigh lad too.

A great career and he did score a lot of tries against Leigh, in fact I can't remember him not scoring against us when he played for Salford. He played some great games for Leigh and never shirked a tackle, putting many a forward on their backside.
Congratulations Stuart on a great career.

Amazing career, in that he hardly missed a game through injury. From that point of view, he must have been a coach's dream. Happy retirement Stuart, and thanks for your time in the Leigh shirt.

Littler has had an awesome career both at Leigh and elsewhere.

Some brilliant defence, some fantastic attacking play.

But nothing will EVER top him going toe to toe with Ryan Bailey at the LSV and giving the Yorkshire thug a long overdue pasting.

Remember that game stu hit Bailey ,he landed on his bottom got up and and stu poo himself and ran off.

You don't remember it very well

Always has given 110% who ever he has played for the game needs more players like Stu.

I brought a few Wigan fans to that match - they were busy cheering that moment, I was following the ball and then busy cheering what would be the disallowed try and only turned to see Bailey picking himself up.

They still talk about it to this day.

That definitely didn't happen ....

Stu won hands down & didn't retreat, it was in front of the North Stand & I had a great view.
