The Watcher is in RL heaven, who'd a Thowt, what a season, well done to all those at the club who engineered that unbelievable promotion, it has to be one of the biggest upsets in sport ever. Certainly those who came up with this idea never for one minute thought a championship side would get promoted. As Leigh have turned the RFLs world upside down, it leaves one massive question, who is going to be relegated & will that club survive? The Watcher believes that Salford will be relegated & worse than that, The Watcher thinks that Salford will go the same way as Huyton.

I think Salford will be Ok, their last three games should be easy ones, which would put them on 8 points. Hudds still have to play Leeds and HKR.

Something about fact Salford "shouldn't be there" makes them obvious candidates for the drop and with Sheens exiting stage left the omens don't look great.

Seconded for the same reason (as I already stated on another thread also). That said I do not have any ill will to any teams in general and feel for the fans of the club that do drop.

Winner of HKR vs Hudds final week should stay up and I think it'll be HKR based on what Hudds have offered up in their two matches against the serious competition (Leigh and Salford).

Whilst a great performance from Leigh, for Hudds to at one point early in the 2nd half to be conceding at a point a minute when you were up to 48 points (and could've been worst if the 'obstruction' try hadn't been incorrectectly ruled out) is shocking from Hudds in such an important crucial game and serious questions have to be asked about attitude/desire.

That leaves a MPG of Hudds vs Salford.....at the moment that looks like whoever wants it least will go down.

BaB , both Frank and myself went to watch Salford v Fev this afternoon, 2 very poor teams Fev were woeful, it was that bad Salford seemed to score off every set, Fev's tackling non existent, for me the MPG is certain to be Hudds v Salford, I hope Salford survive.

If Salford can put big scorelines on against both London and Batley then they could even leapfrog Hudds and get 4th and home advantage (although not sure what's happening with the grounds availability of the MPG)

Worked late today for a Sunday and then went down into Salford. Thought, after seeing today's results that Skeletor might come out of hibernation and was proved right. Actually offered genuine congrats to Leigh as well as a pint that was seconded by another regular. I was in full C&W livery to make damned sure that they remembered my allegiance.
