A nice piece on ITV news tonight about the efforts that Dayne has been making to help out a local young lad who isn't doing too well.

Great to see that Ben has struck up such a good friendship with one of our star players and all that Dayne is doing for a great cause and such a brave young man.
So not only (in my opinion) the form player in the Championship this season but also a thoroughly nice guy to boot.
A terrific signing for our club on and off the rugby pitch.

Absolute legend of a man, when my daughter was the mascot in the haven game be stopped and talked to her and made her comfortable before walking out onto the pitch all this 5 minutes before he goes an plays the most physical sport in the world! we at Leigh are so lucky to have him

Dayne's been a great signing and very consistent performer all season. If he gets anymore strapping on for the next match he'll look like the invisible man.

| Dayne Weston, for me Player of the year, a great player and a great man as well , I salute the guy, as for young Ben, for such a young lad he has a great attitude and personality, Ben you are a very mature lad with a very good outlook ,I'm sure your courage will inspire everybody. |

Never ever will I forget Dayne Train taking it in to the Salford line & the head clash seeing Dayne's [iJAW[/i splitting the head of the Salford lad.
As for Dayne's efforts for Ben & Ben's courage, no words of mine are worthy of this formidable pair of human beings.

On the field Dayne is a great Rugby League player, a fierce competitor, a winner with a determination to succeed. Fully respected by his team mates and his opponents alike.
Off the field he is an even more outstanding man. A true Gentleman who is a credit to his country, his family and to Leigh RLFC.
I have made a small donation to Bens Wish charity and I wish young Ben all the luck in the world.
