This moment in time I am more than happy at having 4 points and 2 wins from 2, including an all important SL scalp than fretting about points difference.

I will take a look at that in weeks 6 and 7 after we have also played the remaining Championship clubs

Harold I can tell you now , if we win 6 of the 7 games , points difference won't mean a thing , we will be promoted to SL , Charlie knows.

We won't win 6, maybe 4 or 5.

What was the lowest points total last in last seasons 8's to avoid the MPG & stay up ?

Ste, I said IF we win 6,I didn't say we would win 6i think we can realistically win 5 though,as for how many points we would need to avoid the MPG,I'm not sure,I expect Leeds to win all 7 of their games,then the other SL sides will take points off each other, if we can beat Fev , Batley , and maybe Hudds ,which h is doable I think we will avoid the MPG and get promoted.

Exactly what I was thinking Charlie, 5 & we're in like Flynn, no MPG & the Mother of all P!$$ Ups down the George & Dragon & Centurion.

Hudds were the ones I fancied we might turn over if they were off their best, maybe KR if they didn't have Albert Kelly etc on song, but Salford I admit that I didn't give us a cat in Hell's chance.

Watched the game on TV at midnight last night after work, Major League self control employed not to wake the Dragon & the entire Street up I can tell you Charlie.

Charlie knows because he read Bongser's post of Saturday July 25th 2015 wherein the stats were laid out in full. To summarise: 6 wins guarantees a top three spot and automatic promotion, whereas 5 wins merely guarantees a top five finish and at least a stab at the MPG.

NB: I'm only speaking of guarantees. 5 or theoretically even 4 wins can carry away top spot.

Well they have had some hidings dished out so yeah ....
