We have replaced with drinkwater Weston Patterson and hood in effect. Neil jukes has had it tough but he's blue print is all over this team and they have been outstanding from game 1! If there are players who prefer playing in League 1, in front of massive crowds at London, Coventry, Hemel etc, than possibly in SL, or certainly the Championship, it speaks volumes for their ambition. Whilst Toronto sounds exotic, in reality most of their time will be spent training in Bradford - which I admit is equally exotic.

Id be amazed if one single player turned down a new Leigh contract possibly in SL to go play League 1 RL.

Lots of rumours at the ground yesterday some good, some not so good but what was consistent was the names supposedly signed up for Toronto next year, I will be surprised if most of these names are at Leigh next year.

How can it be good for growing the game in Canada when the team they have will as it looks like it now have a much better squad than the opposition.

I was really pleased with the commitment of everyone yesterday and if they give the same effort throughput the MIddle 8s good luck to them on whatever they choose to do next year, but it does stink that our club could be ripped apart by someone who supposedly loves Leigh RL.

Doesn't look great on Rowley that his scouting technique is to take 8 players from his previous club, you'd be nervous employing him in future based on that and the Brearley Clause; plus announcing that he couldn't work at a club that had ethics and morals when he didn't, oh and then resigning when the Family Fun day was cancelled.

Rowley walking out on us could have been the best thing to happen. Last season our downfall was in a large part due to how badly Rowley handled injuries, keeping playing the same injured players, not letting them recover until they had nothing left to give when we needed them most. With the bad run of injuries we've had this year I doubt Rowley would have been to cope & we'd probably be going into the Super 8s with no fit players not with players coming back from injury. Jukes has handled the injuries this season excellently.
