Nowhere near last seasons standards & I fear his left edge against the SL teams in the 8's, not nearly big enough & although he's quick he's not SL quick. I think some of those big fast SL wings & centres might roll right over the top of Liam where as Higson has a far bigger tackle in his bag.

Agreed....I would have loaned out Liam Kay ! When McNally is fit, he retains his full back spot, and Lee Smith (too good to leave out) fills one of the wing positions.

He's a great F/ B or Stand off but never a winger in a million years these days

Played most of his career at Leeds on the wing and scored two tries in a Grand Final at OT in that position.

Spencer & Foster both in Oldham's 19, but not Pownall.

Good luck to them. Been saying all season Foster is a promising prospect but needs to be playing out on season long loan. I too was starting to think maybe we should look at giving Pownall a bit of game time with Kay not having the best of seasons however sending him out on loan will have him match fit & competing far better for that place come the Super 8s when it has to be the best 17 we have all playing at their best.

Could do with a real SL/NRL standard winger IMO but unlikely able to get an NRL wing, unless it's a final pay day deal.

Big, fast winger would put the polish on the squad & step up our attacking threat & edge defence.
