Great in the tackle and going forward, always needed a bit of control to his aggression which it now appears he has.

I do like the buzz in the North Stand when he takes the ball in off the kick-off. A massive fan favourite.

Considering he has only just turned 24, which is no age for a prop, Acton is developing really well.

Runs hard, tackles harder.

Obvious problem was always his temper/discipline but this season he seems to have kept the aggression in his game but cut out the pantomime villain act we saw too often last season.

I have said it before - I will say it again - Jamie Acton can be as good as he wants to be.
He is obviously listening well to the top pros and coaching staff at the club. He is also very lucky to have such quality people around him to help him develop.
Jamie's extended contract is the best news we have had for ages - he is fast becoming the stand out forward, week in week out. We shall need another telling contribution from him on Sunday, but he has been so good this season we can almost take it as a given.

The hands need to get a little rougher..Class lad and will see the England shirt.

Very good news. A young player who keeps on getting better and better. Be very imteresting to see how good he gets & its very good news we'll likely get to see that from him in a Leigh shirt now.

Acton has always shown signs of great potential and now he's stepping up. Good on him and the club.

Not so sure about the last few years. His ability to concede cheap penalties, piggy backing the oppositon up field or be in the sin bin and continousluy place his team mates under pressure has frustrated me immensely at times.

That said he cetatainly has turned the corner of late and been a real stand out at times. He just had to cut all the silly stuff out and having done that he is now reaping the rewards. Well done Jamie.
