What does that say about us-lost 10-8 to a league one side?

Nothing. Two different games in different countries. Why are people panicking? It's a cup game, anything can happen. I loved our cup run last year, it was fantastic, but I can't say I'm that surprised.
Yes, we should have won, but who honestly knows how well Toulouse have been playing? It's cup rugby, anything can happen. And it did.

We sounded terrible with 'ball in hand' and Toulouse 'bombed' a few chances, we didn't. We are playing crap, compared to last season (apart from 60 minutes at Bradford).

Why do people think we'll walk this season. We are playing much more controlled style of rugby this year. Yes, we're not playing an expansive entertaining brand of rugby this year - but where did it get us last year?

We are top of the league with one loss at a time when we lost our coach and our entire back line. We scored 60 points last week against a side would just won 3 on the bounce and we're looking good.

We have a difficult trip away from home, didn't complete our sets and our backs didn't perform today.

We move on. Id be more disappointed if we'd lost a league game, but we haven't.

This is a reality check-the standards in our league have declined this season in my opinion. Look how poor Bradford,Halifax and Sheffield have been this season. The proof of how this league is no preparation for the MIddle 8's, were the two recent hat tricks by Corey Paterson at LSV. Classy player yes-but the tackling was absolutely abysmal. Indeed, if he had been kept on the field for longer, it could have been 6 tries in each game-he didn't have to break sweat!!

Just been over to the Roughyeds page to post congratulations, however I have noticed a few times now that no Oldham fans seem to use it.

Still, a terrific achievement by Oldham & shows that given the right circumstances a SL Club [i'could'[/i be relegated this year.

The team in 9th place in the Championship just beat a Super League Team that are not even the bottom team in that league right now. Surely that would suggest the opposite of dropping standards in comparison to Super League.
Leighs result today is not what I would have wanted, and the brand of rugby is not as cavalier and entertaining (yet) as last year, but that style did not, and will not, win us the vital games in the 8's.
