Even if Ryan Brierley has gone. Even if Chase has gone into Recovery/Rehab/OuterSpace. Even if Martyn Ridyard has decided his heart is still at Leigh Miners and he has had enough of being full time...

We would still have far more options at halfback in Reynolds, Paterson, Charnock and Foster than Bradford have at the minute. No way Gaskell would walk out on them unless he has Ryan Brierley type morals, which I doubt.

Gaskell was in my age group at junior level and always seemed a quality guy when I have played against him. I expect he wouldn't leave Bradford short with no replacement. Not that I would complain if he did sign for Leigh, but I think that would be the final nail in the Bradford coffin and I don't see that as a likely outcome.

Having said that, if he is available I would take him in a heartbeat.

Ridyard at 6 and Gaskell at 7? Yes please!

Steve did say next season, Nozzy. I think Gaskell is probably out of contract at the end of this season. Mind you, There should be a number of SL teams interested in him then. I've heard he has signed for Leeds - oh, hang on a minute, was that someone else?!

Ridy is out of contract come November.And no we won't see Gaskell.

If Bradford don't go up after this season, Gaskell will go to a super league team !
So don't expect him to come to Leigh !

You may see a Ridyard/Gaskell partnership next season but it might not be at leigh.
