Just waiting for someone to come on and blame team spirit? Nothing wrong with the spirit! Played for each other and dragged themselves back into it! They got pinged to death in the first half 2 sin bins and still worked hard for each other. Yes it is sloppy and it is defiantly a lot more off the cuff than last year but a win is a win! Missed Kay today! Acton was outstanding and be first name on sheet next week

Talk about premature! I'm not one to bag referees but Doris Stokes came into this game with preconceived ideas about how we play and it clouded his judgement on a lot of calls. When he let the game flow in the second half we were a different beast. I'm glad we have started the season slowly, it gives us the chance to peak at the business end of the season. It looks like the coaching team have planned it this way. Which imo is the right way to go.

The only way London got possession in our half was by a brainfart from one of our players or from a penalty from Georgie Boy.

When they were in our 20 metre area they actually worked the ball well but our goal line defence has to improve.

I would rather build than fall off.

Dewsbury struggle at Oldham who we got 40 against.

Interesting listening to Trent Robinson the other night - "months" to train and execute their attacking plays correctly.

How did Whiting go for you guys?

Went well!! Strong in defence did the basics one very good break and not as slow as I thought! Will be a good addition nice Cool head

Started slowly, but came into the game in the second half, set up a try with a great break from inside our half. Strong in defence. All in all a solid debut.

Had a good 20 minutes and an awful 60+minutes. Discipline in the first half was terrible with brain dead players repeating offences in front of an over officious official.
A purple patch in the second half saved the day, it was like watching a highlights package.
Chase is getting better but he needs to take the line on more instead of running laterally but the try scoring pass was superb. I now want to see him and Ridyard in tandem.

Rangi is the type of player that play off the cuff some things come off some things don't. You never know what he is going to do next, I don't think he does either!

Rangi was mostly quiet today but when we looked down and out and needed something special he suddenly set up 2 tries and then scored the winner in the space of 5 minutes. Blew the match wide open when we looked like a lost cause. Came up with 18 points in no time at all and London had no answer to him.

That is what I was hoping for when we signed him. He came up with some magic when we needed it most.

sort the discipline out and get a settled side I'm sure we will be in the top 4, get an experienced coach in who will demand respect we might sneak up.

In fairness, if we play like today I would agree.

Get Martyn Ridyard, Gregg McNally, Tom Armstrong, Bob Beswick, Cory Paterson, Andrew Dixon, Willie Tonga and Liam Kay back in contention and I think we will be a different side.

With the patched up, beaten up, walking wounded side we have at the moment every win is a bonus.

Jukesy mentioned before the match that Worthington barely bothered with a late fitness test as we knew he would have to play anyway. We were down to just 19 available players today. The 17 that played plus Spencer and Eze Harper.

Don't underestimate how tough of a battle that was today. We were down to the absolute bare bones and somehow came through it against a quality full time team in London despite being nowhere near our best for the 1st 60 minutes.

and you lot won't win a trophy for ther next 40 years either !
