I'm not a fan of Hock's and I'm in the NO! camp when I heard we were interested in signing him. Hope he proves me wrong.

After initially being in the definite NO camp, I changed my mind and am now quite excited at the thought of him playing for Leigh and I would much rather he play for us than against us.

I hope it works out for you guys, but Leopards and spots come to mind. Maybe your management have got him on a pay him per match he plays, he pays the club for every game he isn't available? I reckon you could make money on that deal

I have my reservations, who wouldnt with his record. However i trust in rowley. I just hope, 1 we have not paid him a fortune, 2 if he steps out of line we can get rid without costing us. I hope he proves me and many other doubters wrong.

Happy to give the bloke a chance. He's going to thrive in any environment then it's going to be with a squad like ours. Don't do owt stupid and you'll be treated like one of our own.

Derek makes a valid point with Gareths on field performance,when you are trying your heart out to beat the opposition,but still getting spanked your frustrations get the better of you in the heat of battle,hence the indiscretions.Hopefully in a winning environment we will see the talent he certainly has will come to the fore.He has a clean sheet at Leigh,and i wish him all the very best,and he helps to get us to where we want to be.

This isan absolutly epic signing, we'll definatly come first now, we have by far the strongest squad in the Championship and potentially of the bottom two of super league!

Even if he plays one out of two games, its worth it!!!!

Forums are a place you can often find stupid fans of other clubs with agendas

Never liked Hock in the past. No coaches have been able to 'tame' him and if he gives anything less than 100% then he should not get into the squad in front of players like Goulden, Haggy, Sars etc.

Having said that, the Salary Cap leaves Championship clubs at a significant disadvantage when it gets to the middle 8 stage. We are going to need something to close that gap in the middle 8's (should we get there) and Gaz Hock could be the perfect guy do it. He is a world class player with all the talent in the world and when in form can be absolutely unstoppable. If he gets his head straight, plays well and gels with the team then I will back him all the way.

However, he is already on 'last chance' before even arriving and it wont take much for people to turn on him. I hope that isn't the case and if anyone can get Gaz firing on all cylinders it is Rowley.

Welcome to Leigh Gareth Hock.
Our club has just signed one of the worlds best back row forwards. He is being added to a group of forwards that I already rate as the best in the Championship. Our chances in the middle 8 just got a huge boost.
Today is day one for Gareth as a Leyther. Day one of what I trust is another calculated and astute move by the club. We all know what has been reported and said about the past, but it's the future that now counts.
He wears our shirt, he has my backing (for what ever that is or is not worth).
