I still think we should have it but only for draws eg: If the game ends in a draw after 80 mins both teams get a point but golden point extra time is played for the 'bonus point' - ie winner gets 2 points, loser still gets 1 point.

Good. Let’s get rid of the silly gimmicks and let The Greatest Game speak for itself. They were always a daft idea which encouraged mediocrity and rewarded defeat, made it overly complicated to work out winning permutations at the end of the season too. Anyone ever try explaining it to a non-fan? Their response usually ranges from confusion to derision. Need to keep things as simple as possible, especially with people complaining that the Super 8s are too complicated (they aren't but still).
