Great offer from the Leigh RL directors, The current custodians of OUR great club.

However it is allegedly offered (currently) only to contributors of a rival forum.

Given our directors also post on here I am sure this will be rolled out to contributors on here as well.

Otherwise we may as well close down this , the original and best Leigh RL forun and all of us now join the rival one? Discuss.

I have only ever posted on this on until now.. But if the other one is now more popular.?

who listens to every Leigh fan ,whatever they have to say ,and is always ready to contribute to any cause , I agree with you ,I don't expect him or anyone else to pay for the Coach fare anywhere , why should they?Well done Andy .

Spoke to a director last night it's being looked possubly of them getting a sponser or two , however I'd rather the money was spent on signing one of the young lads to a full time contract . Discuss ......

Harold you have taken my post the wrong way , all I said was the Directors shouldn't pay for the Coach Travel , I NEVER mentioned Derek by name either , or said anyone was expecting Buckshee travel .There is room on my Chariot for one

Andy said he would pay for a coach if we get to the GF as he couldn't make the presentation evening - he made his offer on the LRL banter facebook page

Which forum is this posted on? I'm sure a lot of fans would be interested in posting on a proper rugby forum instead of reading the mundane, predictable, unamusing posts of the 'super fans' who have imposed themselves on this one in recent years.

The other forum is exactly the same has this spats and crepe gets posted on there too !

It's not a rival forum,its a banter page on Facebook.

Some of the directors,players and supporters use it,why would you feel the need to close this one down?

I have to admit I have not read any of what was posted from the directors or anything other than what is posted on this platform. That was my first mistake. I was advised by a young relative that an offer had been made to contributers of a Leigh RL page elsewhere.

To re iterate that is a fantastic gesture that certainly was over and beyond. However my comments have been taken out of context. We have all noticed this one does not have no where near as much traffic than previous and the wider point was why is this one rarely used and another seemingly more popular. That was supposed to be my point.

My other mistake was eagerly posting on here, without properly thinking it through first and ensuring my point was clear.

I have therefore obviously caused offence, so I would apologise to the directors and anyone else as it was not my intention at all.

I would also add that these kind of gestures re enforces my belief we have one of the greatest BODs that I have seen in my long life time watching Leigh RL.
