I saw both of those tries because I was there of course.
I have seen some great Leigh tries this season but the best for me was the second one at Leeds this season.

Well I was there also and being a dinosaur (thanks by the way) I have seen a lot of Leigh RL games.
I can however confirm you are quite correct in your assumption that we only had 11 players on the field at the time.
Ricky Bibey and Paul Rowley having both been dispatched to the dressing room by the referee prior. |

We did go down to 10 at one stage in that game though, with Salford having 11. And Halifax reckoned 2014 was a 'rough' team! |

Harold like Smith are proper nouns whereas prior is another way of saying before.  (prior is an adjective). |

Not least for the incredible team try but the other thing I remember is we left immediately after the match,heading straight to the Mick Martyn bar that used to open after away games in those days. The Batley one for me was one of those moments you have watching Leigh when your sat thinking 'I cannot believe we have thrown this all away' and up pops Mr Richardson to rescue the game with his error.
Total pandemonium on the terraces.

Happy days in the final year or so at HP when the players used to join the fans in the Mick Martyn bar for a few drinks! As for Mr Richardson....I always recall he was great with the little'uns in the bar. |
