The banners did look very good, well done to whoever did that. Hope they stay up and the BBC get a good view of them on Sunday.

It was absolutely bouncing at times last night, proper loved it. My football-supporting mrs even said to me "I wish the atmosphere was like this at Bolton games". The biggest compliment we can get, I reckon!

The North Stand looked and sounded (as always) awesome. Don't know about being our 18th man, I reckon Fev must have felt they were up against about 25, the way our guys tackled and the North Stand sounded!

I'm normally a "Side on mon", but I was outvoted by the crew who knew the North stand would be the place to be.......and they were right!!

Yes I stood up and applauded politely, although I would point out we are not 'Champions'. (I think the team that wins the league should be termed 'Champions' though and even thought that these last four seasons when Fev were tops.)

As an aside, our grand-kids loved staying up so late, what with added time and the celebrations. One of them has seen us lift three trophies now, by the tender age of nine. Brilliant!!

I disagree, we won the big prize, next years much bigger slice of TV money. It's the prize everyone was after so we're the champions. The Grand Final this year has been relegated to a worthwhile but less meaningful prize.

Completely disagree and this has been driving me mad all week. I'm a history man and the record books won't talk about money, nor is that what's about. You can't reinvent our game to suit interests.

Again, maybe I'm just in a bad mood!

Ask any clubs fans, director, coach or player what would be the most important thing THIS year and all would agree to finishing on top of the league.
In other years with the crap that was franchising it didn't matter but this years finance reward for finishing top puts the Grand final as just a trinket to put in the display case (Though it will look nice next to the NRC)

I can see your point but I'd rather take the pragmatic view. We've taken the biggest prize realistically available to us, that makes us the best under pressure and the champions in my eyes.

Not necessarily part of this topic, but the North Stand looks very much oversold to me. Loads of Cas fans stood in front of the bottom barrier and no sign whatsoever of the yellow lines when they did the reverse angle.

I noticed that all the TV cameramen and people on the gantry are not wearing blue bibs like we all have tp wear, one law for one etc.....
