Just been on sporting life website. Wigan say in the match preview to play Broncos that they could give a debut to Sam .Not heard anything official though.

Sam belongs at Leigh......not them lot !

Well we Leythers rate Sam but Sean Wane for whatever reason does not' atm but of course that could change.

I expect we will keep him till the end of the season at least

Just for once I hope Salford Lad is wrong and that Sam Hopkins comes back for keeps. Wigan have certainly managed to batter the guy's confidence. He wasn't half the player he was when we welcomed him back on loan. With help from Rowls and Co he is at last coming back to the player we all know at Leigh. He needs game time at a competitive level to realise his potential. He is certainly far too good to be messed around - drifting between loan deals, reserve grade and a maybe for the Wigan 19 man squad. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but clearly Sam's development took a backward step the day he signed for Wigan.

Club finances took a huge step forward though, at a time when it was desperately needed.

Shaun Wane has always said that Sam was a player for the future.

If Sam's in the 19 man squad then it's a perfect opportunity for him to take his chance at SL level & if he doesn't play against the Broncquins he'll probably never will play for the pies.

I spent my Hydrotherapy sessions with the Wigan lads this morning and didn't see Sam in attendance , I did have a chat with Joel Tomkins though , a very pleasant young man .

It's like an who's who of the most connected fan.

Hopkins days at Wigan are numbered I think, I honestly believe he's bee full time with us next season.
