I always use my reserved seat and notice that most of the reserved seats around me are not used by season ticket holders. This causes confusion and unrest for groups of people visiting the stadium , perhaps for the first time.I suspect that the reserved seat stickers have not been maintained from the previous year. Hopefully someone can clarify this.

No they have been reserved but people just choose to sit in them.

Myself and three other season ticket holders suffer the reverse problem nearly every home game. We arrive to find our seats are occupied. We then have to call a steward to ask people to move. Four Barrow fans were understandably well disgruntled yesterday and said that the steward had said they could sit there even though the seats are clearly marked with reserved stickers.

A few weeks back a steward even said that he had been told there was no reserved seating. Showing him our season ticket cards with the seat numbers clearly marked had no effect. After some discussion he finally agreed to check with his Head Steward. Some minutes later he returned and then asked the people in our seats to move. By this time the game had started and there was a group unhappy bunnies - including us season ticket holders.

We never miss a game and have occupied the same seats ever since the new LSV stadium opened and we are often made to feel like we are being awkward.

Touch wood, i think me and my dad may of had just one occasion when our seats were occupied. If i was at a away game (which i am every away game) and i saw a reserved seat sticker, i would not dream of sitting in it. What do people think the stickers are there for, to make the seat look pretty.

Complain to the LSV management they seem to regulate and change policy as and when it suits these days, not my favourite people at the moment.

Neither would I, but what annoys me is seeing empty reserved seats at away games and no bugger sat in them.

Out of interest, are the reserved stickers removed for Swinton and Blackburn Rovers matches at LSV?

I don't think so, I think I saw them when I watched United U21s a while back, but they had the Leigh Centurion logo on anyway so it should be straightforward enough for them

Leigh Centurions season tickets are valid for Blackburn Rovers matches as well, so technically your seat is reserved there too but I doubt every football fan is aware of that.

Anyway I don't personally see any need for any reserved seating policy at Leigh RL matches. Do away with it. All seats in the stadium hold good views. If you want a particular space the solution is to turn up early as I do and grab it. If someone is in it, grab the next one. Simple and fair.

Do not sit in the pub until 2:55pm and expect your favourite seat waiting for you.

Well Harrold I beg to differ. I prefer knowing that I have a seat where I want to watch the game from. If anyone wants my seat they should buy a season ticket early and request my seat number. What I would say though is that once the game has started if the seat is empty and no one has already been there then gone for a drink, then it's fair game. I wouldn't move anyone if they were in my seat and I arrived late.

Fair enough, but does it really matter that much if you did watch it from 2 or 3 rows above or below, or a little to the left or right of your favourite seat if you did happen to arrive slightly later than usual.

It shouldn't cause any hassle if the people who choose to sit in reserved seats opened their eyes and used their noggins. Like I said I chose to buy an early season ticket and guarantee the same seat every game. Anyway if you have a problem with it the email address to tell the club is on the website. Please don't try and shame people into not having a reserved seat because you don't like it.

There are unreserved seats so it shouldn't be difficult to find one, obviously it won't help those who don't know what 'Reserved' means.

The purchase of a season ticket is a demonstration of loyalty to the club with money paid up front help the club cash flow across the year. In return, ever since we moved to the LSV, the option of a reserved seat has quite rightly been made available. This practice is the norm for virtually every professional sporting club throughout the land.

It is not rocket science to manage the process, to the benefit of what are likely to include many of the clubs most loyal fans - people like us who have followed the team for many tens of years, home and away, through thick and thin. The vast majority of rugby and football clubs nationwide recognise this brand of loyalty by quite rightly guaranteeing the seats of their season ticket holders.

You cannot find an alternative group of 4 seats anywhere near our reserved seats 10 to 15 minutes before kick off. We have also developed a friendly and valued rapport with lots of other season ticket holders who sit in the immediate area of our reserved seats.

This issue will become and increasingly sensitive as the numbers increase week on week.

I urge the club to resolve the problem with LSV as a matter of urgency. It is too important to leave it to individual supporters to fend for themselves or to expect us to take the matter up as individuals with the LSV.

You mean don't sit in the Legends bar until 2:55 enjoying the fantastic work the club has done to create a whole match day experience. Get rid of reserved seating and all the good work done in the Legends will be for nothing.

If you're willing to pay upfront and buy a season ticket you should get your seat. Unreserved seating is fine in Championship 1 with attendances of 300 but if we're aiming to be a Super League club with several thousand in attendance then it's absolutely essential.

A reserved seat in a guaranteed prime viewing position (via a season ticket) enhances the whole match day experience for majority of the most loyal fans.
This will become increasingly important as attendances continue to rise.
You don't need a Marketing Degree to work this concept out - it is so obvious that all clubs in all sports do it.
