Would one of the mods kindly explain where the thread entitled 'Lack Of Publicity At LSV' has gone? It seems to have been deleted, and I was wondering why. I do hope it isn't because of something that could be perceived as being critical of our club and landlord?

I'd be interested in the answer to that question too

why do we need a negative thread when we're about to play an important game, let's get behind the club and the team .

It degenerated into a thread about the song sheets which contained the words to the flute song.

Some expressed their displeasure and the songsheets and the thread were subsequently withdrawn.

But why the whole thread and not just the offensive reply's???

Hope the said song sheets are not thought to be offensive as there's a lot been printed!!

Off topic I think Nigel Farage is a hypocrite.

Whilst I can fully understand the need for being positive this week (there are many reasons for that as a Leigh fan) lets not forget this is an unofficial fans message board and thus in my opinion no-one should be deleting threads that started off with a valid well made point.
If further comments in that thread have been deemed offensive then remove those comments and ban those who have supposedly offended.

Just seen this and to be honest, them 'song' leaflets are really tacky IMHO.

Well since I got reconnected earlier today I am a sad soul who reads mosts of the threads on this board.

A diehard said he would never come again if the flute song leaflets were distributed. A BOM member read it and said they would be withdrawn.

Another poster suggested the thread should be deleted as it was not in the clubs interest.

It matters not as a lot of Leythers will sing the flute song on Sunday.

Andy Mazey has already responded to Alan's original enquiry ie it was an oversight.

Plus there are still some people who still want to poke the club with a stick and are enjoying the opportunity when it arises.

When they've succeeded in ing people off and driving them away, will they want to put their hands in their pockets and pay the wages?

Thought not.

But it is a good thing that they are at least trying-out ideas and 'pushing the envelope'' so to speak for a better match day experience that sells 'more bums on seats' is it not?? So what if a mistake (if it has to be seen that way) was made by including the so called 'flute song' personally I could not give a dam about it so long as the word 'stuff' on the song sheet is used and not the profanity one!

My question wasn't negative - it was a genuine question about why the game hadn't been publicised on our own doorstep. I trust 'Alex's Dad's' response was aimed at what appears to have happened after that, and not a genuine question from someone who was involved in, and cared deeply about, communications.

.......oh, and will the moderator who deleted the thread at least do us the courtesy of explaining why they took it upon themselves to delete the said comments from our fans?

Alan - as I have, in line with the AUP, you need to PM the Moderator and ask for an explanation and state your disapproval most fervently.

It was a question all the same I doubt you would have raised in the public domain before you left your role as programme editor and working in communications though Alan let's be honest.

It was actually me who suggested that the thread be deleted. I have no connection with the BOD whatsoever and had no ulterior motive except perhaps to try and get us to re-focus on the main event here which is, after all, the match.

Some people seem to enjoy the prospect of the club cocking something up. I don't.
