Amazing result against any opposition, got to feel for the NEA lads though.

I had to leave at half time but I said to Frank before they kicked off after see,in the oppo warming up that we would score 100 was,nt far wrong lol I can understand why we have to loan players out it would do them no good playing against teams like this got to admit the club have some great players coming thro the ranks Hankinson and several more of the young lads look great prospects

Very professional job done today by Don, Ando and the coaching team.

Only two overage players in that side today and they were early 20s and they did what they had to do and showed no mercy.

One thing that impressed me is the way these young men conduct themselves so well, all turning up smartly dressing in trousers, shoes and team polo shirts. Every aspect of what they did today was done professionally and the philosophy and structures determined by PR & NJ at the top goes right down through the reserves/ u20s to deliver a seamless player performance criteria.

Well done to Lee Crooks and the NE Academy they never gave up despite the obvious gulf in class and put their bodies on the line and we wish them well for the future.

Finally before leaving I spoke with head of Golbornes committee and he stated they had made significant takings over the bar, via the cafe and also made a healthy sum of money in takings of the gate and also raffles etc of which we agreed they would keep all the proceeds of. They were obviously delighted and were keen to point out the money would be going directly into the clubs coffers so the big winner on the day was the game of Rugby League!!!!!

Went with my 3 yr old she had full Leigh kit on waiting for parky pig and guess what he didn't show she cried and I had to get the wife to console her very disappointed she was looking forward to seeing him don't advertise if it's not going to happen.

Must have been the 'dug outs' that did it for us.

I only realised first thing this morning reference Parky Pig due to being in a state of pleasant shock. checked the matter and found out a very pressing family problem happened over night and sadly he had to attend to it, all now well and parky sends his sincere apologies regarding his no show. I'm quite sure when your daughter meets him she we possibly understand why. Once again sorry and I'm sure the club has responded in an acceptable manner.

What age group are the NEA?

Under 20's and Leighs team was as per competition rules, as They wouldn't allow us to field more than 4(or is it 5?) overage players - both teams have to agree on the make up of the respective teams.

Enjoyed Saturday. Josh is a star in the making . I hope we can keep these guys together, they are the future.
