Reading in League Express, Sundays attendance was up 32% on the same fixture last season which is great news. Hopefully after the performance we saw they will all return and bring a few more with them. I had a newbie with me on Sunday who enjoyed the game and can't wait for the next home match. Happy days.

I think that if we continue to improve like we are doing we will go beyond the 3000 gates in some games. Would love to take an SL scalp in the challenge cup then any local team other than Salford at home. Then I think you could well see six of seven thousand on.

3000 against a Championship side is ambitious but certainly doable with the ambition the club has at the moment. Think next season with promotion actually back we'll be averaging at least 3000 if things keep on as they are and all goes to plan. Only potential slight thing is do the free junior season tickets all count towards the attendance regardless of if they're used or not?

Is very early days and one match of 80 minutes but totally agree with what TV Boy has put.
Think the fact the big boys from Yorkshire will be playing us at home on a weekend will swell the coffers and the gate and boost interest in the club as people start to wonder what's going on at the LSV
Without the NRC and with a bit of luck with the draw the CC could be the cheapest and best bit of marketing for the new revolution this season

I'm close to 100% sure that the attendance figure only includes those who attended the game. The attendance figure is calculated by the computer system connected to the turnstiles that monitors the number of spectators in each part of the stadium, though it might contain a predetermined figure for corporate attendance based on the capacity of the boxes sold.

I'm sure that Andy or another board member can confirm that this is the case.

Amazed that we don't follow the model of virtually every other sports club in the country and include non-attending season tickets in the 'attendance' figure. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

That would be difficult because in the North Stand you just show your season ticket to the turnstyle operator they don't scan the season ticket probably because the scanners aren't working.

I believe we might have been doing that, a couple of years ago. (on the basis that they'd paid for the games anyway) Not a clue what's included now though. I think the LSV may be responsible for attendance figures?

Same in the West Stand Frank, but the turnstile still registers a 'click'.

Doesn't matter one jot how many go through the turnstiles. There is a total number of season ticket sales, a total number of match ticket sales, and bingo there's your attendance.
