I'm surprised there isn't any mention of this friendly on the club website (unless I've missed it completely).

I said the very same thing to Andy Mazey at the NWC game & he said this was due to their pitch being in poor condition & whether Fax are allowed to play on it for this fixture. This conversation was last week so things could of changed by now.

Tommy Goulden missed the Wire game because he presumably failed a late fitness test. He may be available for Sunday.

I honestly don't think the this years Batley will give you any problems.....too many quality players gone and replacements are just not of similar standard.

My prediction for sunday is, we will have a few quality scoops of the finest yorkshire ale in dirty dicks and the 3 pigeons, owe you meant predictions fr the game, i reckon we will lose.

Seriously I think it will be typical pre season, mean nowt, with a scoreline of Fax 24v22 Leigh. Enjoy the game and the wonderful Yorkshire ale.

Even with our injuries I can't see anything but a 30 point win for leigh. Fax will be a mid-table team this year especially when you consider the Harrison factor and the money troubles that fax have.

It is the way our lads play which matters on Sunday.

Edit: We had a crap team and money troubles then too.

Im sure we drew with Warrington 1-1 in the Play-offs the year we finished Top of the League in 1982 , could be wrong
