and the name of the restaurant above the old manweb/norweb shop.

Scanda was upstairs over Co-op

Mr Armstrongs was restaraunt over Lecky shop.

Bloke who owned Mr Armstrongs used to be engaged to my sister back in the day.. Ironically when he was manager if the Scanda. His name.............Tom Armstrong.

Didn't it become Toddys after Mr Armstrongs?Yesterday Salfordlad ,Roman Officer ,and myself attended the Funeral of Kenny Grimshaw , a very sad day , but later in the Miners we were talking about the Oddfellows pub on Twist Lane , why was it nicknamed "Scotches "?

Hi Derek , no thanks needed ,I wouldn't have missed paying my respects to Kenny for anything , you know how far we go back , you ,Brian , and Kenny were good friends to me , it was great seeing you both again , pity about the circumstances.
