| I have said it many times on this forum about my feelings regarding PR, and nothing has changed, as a matter of fact its got worse.
Leigh Centurions are a company like any other Company, doesn't matter what Company it is or what industry it is the Company/Industry need to make money to survive and they need good employee's to make it go forward.
For example if I wasn't pulling my weight at work my manager would be asking why, and if the same problems kept arising I would either get a warning or even the sack.
PR keeps making the same mistakes, how long do we have to put up with the same amateurish/boring tactics.
How long do we as loyal supporters have to keep putting up with the same excuses.
The best young British coach, what a joke.
The BOM keep saying we need bums on seats, come on be realistic how many people are going to spend there hard earned cash watching this boring, clueless rugby.
I for one wont be doing a 5 hour round trip next season to watch a team with a clueless coach, it really does hurt me to be saying these things because I love Leigh, and will never stop supporting them but to move this club forward, in my opinion we really do need to be looking at a new coach, but it will never happen because to many people are wearing their Rowley tinted glasses.

| Come on, after a season when you won one of only two trophies on offer - in pretty stunning style might I add, you're seriously calling for Rowley's head? I'm sure he's the best coach in the world, but he deserves a bit more time and backing based on your NRC success alone!

I reckon like me you are hurting because we lost today but when next seasons squad is announced I think you will change your mind.
Believe it or not every home game I watch. Every Leigh function I attend takes me 2 and a half hours in travel time but I have done it for over 30 seasons since I moved here. I am literally a Leyther till I die and I think deep down you are too.
It is a rough ride being a fan but every now and again you know it's worth it.

| In a season where he had the least money to spend than any team in the top 6, in a season we won the NRC and in a season after he was voted by his peers to be the 2012 Championship Coach of the year and received a nomination for this as well again from his peers well there must be a lot of people in the know who wears those glasses.

With the best will in the world, I doubt Rowley had less money to spend than Batley or Doncaster!

| Sentiment cant/shouldn't come into a business which is what's happening, if you lot think 1 win in 6 games is good enough then you haven't set you sights high enough, it certainly isn't good enough for me.
You will one day run out of excuses for PR.
like I said we need bums on seats and can you honestly hand on heart say we will get enough people through the gates with performances like that, we will be lucky to get 1,000 per game if this carries on.
The BOM are doing a fantastic job, but are lacking in one area. SENTIMENT.
By the way Ian where did you buy you Rowley tinted glasses? was it from the market stall, must drive down and get a pair then I can see what you lot can see.

| The seasons over and the poste mortem begins. I am in agreement that the entertainment provided has been poor for most games and that is down to the coach and the players he has at his disposal
Our game is built around props and didn't adapt to Parker and Hopkins being out, for example Batleys right was wide open all game but although we scored three down that side I feel we could have scored many more
It is right that fans demand entertaining and it is right that crowds will only reach potential if they enjoy the match as well as the experience but the harsh facts are that players and coaches have contracts so unless someone buys them or they agree to terminate then the club pays them, and I am sure Paul signed a new contract at the beginning of the year? So love him or hate him we have him but I do hope his playing style can be impacted on close season otherwise apart from we diehards crowds will struggle and reaching the GF in 2014 will dictate were we play for the next few years

Agree especially if they help keep the club alive by purchasing a season ticket or donating the equivalent to LISA etc Next season will be defining in our history as we simply must reach the GF to compete in 2015, every fan through the gate, sponsor, LISA, Lottery, Touchdown etc pound will be vital to that aim. Its time for rallying around and putting yesterdays disappointment behind us to go into 2014 strong and united
As a board we have committed financially to bridge the gap and keep the club alive, we have some great initiatives to release and signings to announce. The shirt looks brilliant, with the away being very different but very RL looking. Rob has brought in some first class sponsors on the shirt, and for the first time for a few years we didn't need to ask our loyal sponsors to enter a raffle to be the main shirt sponsor. The signature offer is going brilliantly, the number of exiled Leythers who have bought in is unbelievable - we will need a UPS contract for global shipping - the number of 'in memory' entries for friends and family keeps us focussed as to why we were so privileged to be able to step into the hole when needed this year
I am really excited about next year, I feel we overachieved in many areas this year but that probably made the pain of yesterday hurt more. Next year we aim higher, the bar is raised and the budgets increased accordingly, but without our major stakeholder fully behind us we will fall short - that stakeholder is you and I, THE FANS of our great club, the custodians for the generations who will follow.
We are in this together, and together we will win.
Neil

Not doubting your knowledge Parky, but to suggest that a squad containing the likes of Aspinwall, Finnigan and Penkywicz alone came cheaper than ours is pretty laughable. Kevin Nicholas would have to re-mortgage his house twice to afford Penky.

| While I've always been firmly behind whoever is coaching the club I've not purchased a season ticket since our ill fated SL season. There have been a number of reasons for this and I've still continued to attend most home games and a few away ones, particularly this season.
I need to see the initiatives and prices for the new season first but my intention is to buy a season ticket for the first time in a long time for 2014. I believe the club is heading in the right direction and fully support Paul and the boys. We've played some great stuff at times this season and the cup final win was a fabulous day out.
The criticisms of Paul hold no weight when you consider where we finished on the budget and squad size we have and the financial issues at the club (again), mid season. As supporters we all have our own ideas about the way the team should play but I for one have enjoyed watching us and can see that everyone who pulls on the shirt plays with 100% passion. This is a passion that I share, and while someone who plays can give so much I feel it is my duty to show the same commitment to the cause.
Roll on 2014, I can't wait to see what happens pre-season re: season tickets & signings

Well I'm one of who you respectfully call "you lot".
With the turmoil that was this season, very thin squad numbers, and some key injuries in the forwards at the end of the season I think Paul has done a great job of getting us to compete with the best in our league. With more back-up in the squad and more front line talent next season, I'm am sure we will be even more competitive and importantly also more entertaining.
My opinion is that we have one of the best coaches in the Championship, who will get better still as his experience grows.
What you see as sentiment, I see as a good choice of coach for the right reasons.
In my opinion, PR is the right coach for the future of our club.

As has been said on here, his peers (i.e. Championship coaches) voted him the best coach in the Championship last season, and he's in the running again this season. No mean feat when you consider how many Yorkshire club coaches there are in the Championship!

Perhaps they have worked out that voting for him will help to keep him in the job because they will have Leigh's tactic (not tactics) sussed.

| Charlie cannot believe this 1st post , PR has done so much this season for our Club , I have been privileged to hear Speak to the Touchdown Club and Fans a fair few times this season , and Charlie knows , what a Deep thinker he is in regards of Rugby , and how much it hurts him when we lose .
I don't agree with everything he does or his team choices , but I know he is a thorough professional Coach , who puts everything into the Job he does , OK we have again not had the Finish we wanted to the Season ,but I feel we are not Far away from getting it right , again to Criticise young Ryan is unbelievable , the lad gives his all every week , after yesterdays game the faces of the Players said it all , like the Fans they were gutted , we can all point the finger of Blame , and obvious Targets are the Coach and Players , but I for one will be there next season , cheering Paul on , and wanting the lads to win every game , it was only a couple of months ago at Fax , they were the best thing going ,Cmon Leythers show your support .
