I would just like to thank Paul Rowley,the team,the fans and the new BOM for a great season, I think that at the start of this season we would have been more than happy wiyh a NRC win and fourth place,to everyone who pulled the shirt on thank you,to the fans who went home and away thank you and especially to the new BOM thank you.Onwards and upwards beLEIGHve,

John , I think most Leigh fans will echo what you said , it was a disappointing end to a good season , agreed , but as you say we won a Cup , finished 4th , not bad , today was not a happy ending , but its onwards and upwards , for next season , PR and the lads seemed gutted as we all after the game , but I will be back next season cant wait .

Yes we have indeed had some highlights. However the question to answer is below :

Is fourth place, 5 defeats out of the last 6 and dumped out of the playoff's without a win yet again actually good enough for Leigh ??

Harold an answer to your question is a Resounding NO , it isn't good enough , in fact very poor end to the season , but Charlie will still be back next year , health permitting .

Penky certainly speeded up our game when he came on ,personally I think he has has a good season , its good see you coming back to the LSV , hope you have rekindled your need to watch the lads .

I bet Hendrix was laughing after realising more walks on the cards now .

It will be if it's like this season. The NRC games started on 19th May!!

How many teams go on to win a GF after another cup win in that season the last one I can think of off the top of my head was us in 2004.

Well said I totally agree with those sentiments too so a big thank you from me goes to everyone involved at Leigh Centurions from the players, the backroom staff, the board, L.I.S.A & all of the volunteers who have helped


Overall we've had a successful season along with a great new BOD involved & the added excellent Centurions TV too



Last but not least a big thank you to Rob Parker's excellent service to the game as a Grand final winner & league winner, Challenge cup winner, World club champions along with playing for England too


Finnished off nicely with winning the NRC for his home town club it was a pleasuring watching you over the years especially in cherry & white thanks Rob a proper RL legend in my eyes

Salford in 2008, albeit with a full time team. In a similar vein there aren't many who do the Challenge Cup/SL GF double these days.

SL clubs generally have bigger squads too so I'd imagine it's easier as a full time outfit over part time one.

Doesn't mean we should be content with another play of humiliation

Gutted after the loss, but this post sums up my sentiments on the season.

Thankyou, players, coaching staff and BOM, and loyal fans.
You have given me some great memories this season and more importantly, hope for the future.

I'm away on holiday at moment and listened to yesterday's game on Leighlife.

I promised myself and the missus a peaceful week and no message boards or work but had to log in and comment when I read this.

It's been a tough first three months or so as a new BOD and we've had lots to do and it's not been easy and yesterday's defeat hurt far more as a Director as it ever did as a fan though they always hurt.

I'd just like to thank everyone who's supported us this season and promise to continue to invest time and money and work my ass off along with my colleagues on the BOD to take this great club forward as a fan for the fans!

Posts like this make it all worth while and I know the players and coaching staff feel the same so thanks mate really is appreciated.
