Reffy , as you know may know , Charlie doesn't get involved with Politics nobody is perfect , as for Trevor ?Whatever folk of him , he is a Leyther through and through , ive a lot of time for the man , I know hes not everyones cup of tea , but who is ?Trevor will still continue to support Leigh , I know this , so im not going to knock the bloke .

My lasting memories of Trevor will be him seeing off the coaches to Blackpool and him clapping us into the Bigfellas when we got there on the last minute. As for Andy Burnham he is the devil if he does and the devil if he doesn't. Pitfalls of being a politician but has never done anything wrong for me and has played some part for RL in Leigh.

Not seen anything on previous threads, but Trevor and the previous board deserve a lot of credit for putting the current squad together under not very easy circumstances.
Not sure things would have ended up as they did without the input of the new board, but reckon credit is due to them

I've not got a bad word against Trevor he was heavily involved with the miners juniors when I played & he still comes across as a good bloke now as he did when I was a kid. Trevor helped stabilise the club from 2011 from our near extinction for no other reason than his love for our club so IMO you can't knock the bloke. As for Andy Burnham I don't get involved in politics but as Andy watches Leigh regularly & is a supporter of LISA I'm happy we have his support.

The reason for my original post , was it was good to see Trevor out Watching Lancashire CC , whatever folk think of him , hes OK by me , and still is a Leyther through and through , as for Andy Burnham , I agree with what you say , I don't get involved with politics , and Andy does watch Leigh , if he is a member of LISA to he cant be all that bad .

I could be wrong (I often am) but in my opinion the reason we are all still posting on the forum about our great team, is because Trevor Barton stepped up when nobody else either could or would. He then put in many hours of his life to keep our team alive through some very tough times. He was not a one man show, but without him I don't think we would have survived. I will always be grateful to Trevor for the time and effort he put forward.
I don't know Andy Burham, but he's a Leyther so he will do for me.

He was born in Old Roan but brought up in Cultcheth and went to St Aelreds in Newton.
