I've been talked into going on the train to Fax on Saturday, anyone else doing the same? It's worked out easier for us as we've got a few people coming from all over including a Crusaders fan so we can meet at Victoria.

The 3 Pigeons is one if not THE smallest pub in Fax , get 50 fans in and its packed

, the bar is only 6 feet long , I predict big waiting time to be served .

Yes we are. We are having a pint in the moon under water around 12 10pm on Deansgate and then catching the 12 48pm to Fax.

some used to say its the age of the train .

Although they will be busy, I usually find on nice days is easier to get served as people tend to by and then go outside rather than stick around the bar………

Nowt wrong with the pub , Charlie always goes there before our league games , but even then it gets packed .

Idid warn the staff at the 3 pigs&pump room last thursday they didnt know there were any games on saturday!!!

I think lots of folk prefer travelling by rail or tram quite honestly.

Doubt we will ever have a railway station in Leigh but if tram lines now go to Oldham Rochdale Eccles etc why can't Leigh have a tram line ?

We were going to stop at Dewsbury and Huddersfield, but rumours are the ale trail is hammered and full of d***heads.

they've stopped selling lager this year to try and put the hen parties and stag do's - people going for a leak in your garden etc

Would have thought Dewsbury and Huddersfield will be fine though as you're town centres - it's more the Marsden, Slathwaite type stops.

That's why we're doing the Victoria-Halifax line and stopping at Todmorden, Sowerby Bridge etc.

I just enjoy travelling by rail to games and don't particularly like coaches. There could be a bus leaving from my front drive and I would probably still get the train.
