| Brilliant atmosphere in the corporate, total sell out- thank you all
As a board we felt leigh east deserved something to help them be the best they can be and we are privileged to help them as the donation was not from the club but the bom and we hope one day it will be more and not just to easts
I am sat here a very proud Leyther tonight and I hope other proud Leythers will join us as we too try to make our club the best it can be, with a simple promise of we intend to make it fun along the way

I'd echo that. I'm another very proud Leyther after last night. The place was buzzing, even with just over 1800 on. Imagine what it would be like with 5,000+ enjoying themselves.
Whilst last night was essentially a TEAM effort, I feel special mention must go to those players who held their hands up to play, even though they probably shouldn't have done. Just imagine what Ryan would have been like with TWO good legs! And to see McNally, Gardner and Finnigan on that pitch again, just four days after being injured against York, filled me with pride and admiration. Also Tom Spencer may be a Wiganer, but he was in rampaging form, whilst obviously carrying an injury, just THREE days after playing in SL at Warrington.
Well proud to be a Leyther!!

| Me'n'all watched it again last night it had everything a cup tie needed, an underdog (pardon the pun), heroes galore, tough uncompromising defense, a touch of class and lots of tension, in fact it reminded me of our cup run in 1971 not the prettiest of Rugby but to win a cup you don't play pretty you play to win (AJ Murphy 1971).
Gotta be good value to watch it again at £3.50 and you get extra games for that as well. If your not 'on board' join today hear the excellent commentary from Dave and special guest Adrian Jackson (he's from Widnes but we can forgive that ).

Agreed, he brought quite a lot of energy when he came on and got through a ton of work just when we seemed to be flagging elsewhere.

| I got the feeling last night, that the club regained something that has been missing in recent years, not just because of the herculean efforts of the players, and not just because of the achievement of reaching the final, but also because of the feeling of unity and collective pride in the club, and that is self-confidence, self-belief, and looking forward to a better future. The players, coaches, board, backroom staff, and supporters, should have an immense feeling of pride, not just for each other, but for themselves. For me, the atmosphere last night was electric, and I haven't felt this euphoric in a long time. I feel sorry for the nay-sayers and doubters who have moaned all season about "boring, predictable tactics", and for all the stay-away fans, you really don't know what you're missing!

| What was very uplifting as I left last night was seeing the bar full of fans after a game. It will soon be the norm again staying for a jar after the game like it used to be in the MM bar at HP. Well done folks. I was dead jealous having to drive back home.

Tony I think Legends Bar is getting more popular both pre, and post match ,there was a fair few in tonight before the game , its good to see Rob Parker coming in for a chat to the Fans , Rob is doing a Brilliant job off the field , hope hes soon back on field to , there are plenty of positives at the Club at the moment , it has that feel good feeling , long may it continue .
Lets start a week-on Sunday by taking a good following to Donny , its my favourite away ground , like a Mini Wembley Stadium .

| Don't wish to put the mockers on this TV but the 'ordinary fan' was not allowed in legends post game last night. They were the corporate and ticket buying fans who would have been upstairs after the game but for the prebooked prom. Ticket only.

| PROUD TO BE A LEYTHER - even watching it on TV on me jack in the Lounge (in Darkest Kent!)
Tackling hold ups when Batley were over the line made the difference tho' young Ryan was fantastic - obviously not fully fit! Whole team did us proud and I'm still a GREAT fan of Riddy - a Rugby Natural. Going to try to get to Fax!

Everyone had a great night last night that I spoke to and I think most accepted the situation and realised it was a one off.
While the pre booked function in the banqueting suite made things challenging for our match day team we worked very well with LSV and we gave everyone who paid for the "Match day Special" (TDC function) an exec box for the match to compensate for not having the main room after the game.
We had new sponsors with us and senior RFL representatives including Ralph Rimmer and they all seemed delighted to be in our company and all stated they enjoyed our hospitality and the whole evening which is all part of demonstrating to the powers that be we now have the investment, professional board of management and professional structures in place to match our first class facilities and RL community to be a successful SL club of the future.

| I sort of sympathise with you there Derek but we have to make money any way we can and get a real feelgood factor happening at the ground. I take my hat off to the people organising these things and maybe once in a while they could do one where everyone who has been to game could attend. I really wish I didn't live so far away sometimes as I miss a good post match pint. Especially after a game like last nights. I'm still buzzing.
