We have read a lot recently about the immediate future of the Club being secure after the appointment of a new management committee, who will oversee the smooth running of the club on a day to day basis ad well as providing much needed investment. In the Journal this week the Chairman stated the names of this new investors will be made known on Friday. Has anybody any information on who these worthy gentlemen are because so far there has been no announcement.

There has been a 'free bit' on the official website for about a month which included 2 trailers, three full games and a Ryan & Riddys catch up.

Far too many people involved. It needs someone with a wad of money at the helm and professional people below working full time for that person. I just see a lot of egos with no money. Too many egos spoil the broth. Good luck to them but we 'aint going nowhere.

One thing that is good is that there are more management than Wigginers...I think!!!! :O)

The new BOM will have to work hard to build those bridges that have been burned, particularly over the last 18 months.
I'm sure they will make the right decisions in the coming months and 'hopefully seasons, and the fan base will begin to rise again,my only hope is they dont focus ALL there attention,energy and finance on this parochial little town because it WILL wear them down.I'm sure freer,coffee and a few other have already told them that though

It's our job to create the environment that people want to be a part of, if they choose to brilliant if not then others will

Well Friday can only be viewed as a huge step in the right direction by the club.
Acknowledging the problems is a huge thing but to then see a team put together with specific areas to concentrate on that will benefit the club is one of the best things Leigh have done in my time watching them - the potential is huge and after years of missing the boat we might just get the ticket for that expensive round the world cruise.
Yes lots of hard work is required (I don't believe any of the people interviewed have said it will be easy - ALL seem 100% committed to the cause though) and I don't believe the gates will suddenly jump up by a 1,000 as community work and raising brand awareness etc, etc doesn't always see big results from Day 1 but the plus point here is there is a plan unfolding that seems to have a basis of long term planning for the future of the club to make it sustainable.

Fridays news is a ground breaking for our club but for me its the most positive thing to happen for years.

but you have to give them respect for what they are prepared to do..

Well the quality of the announcement on the Leigh website says it all really - the best bit of communication that has been on the site for a very long time. Relevant information, professionally worded and no waffle.

The new management team have inherited something today that speaks to the future of the club and I am talking about Centurions TV. To survive in any business you have to know how to monetize your assets - the biggest assets Leigh have (apart from the fans of course) are the players - either playing or sharing something about themselves or the club. For far too long, the club has not even begun to leverage them as they needed to. The initial response has shown that the appetite is there to put hands in pockets for something tangible.

Even 500 subscribers a year will be 15k extra revenue a year, not to mention potential advertising. The next task will be to monetize other assets in a similar fashion.

Really? 8 new investors committing between 75-100k per year for the next 3 years. Even if they all only put 75k per annum in thats £1.8m over the next 3 years, plus the added time and expertise being put into the club as all the individuals are bringing different knowledge.

If you prefer a small group of volunteers running themselves into the ground to keep the clubs head above water I disagree with you.

Are those figures quoted on centurion tv jonny?

Yep. We're probably the wealthiest club outside Super League now.
