Looks like the decks are being cleared for the possible new investment, First Trevor then Phil. Does that leave just Keith Freer or are John Roddy and Miranda Barker also sit on the BOD.

Administration puts us in champ 1 (RL rules). With the leagues about to be reorganized (rumour) that would probably leave us out of top level RL for ever.

I hope they find a way to avoid it.

I'm sure they could come to some arrangement with the RFL as Bradford, Wakefield & Salford about goin into admin but staying in the league we are in now with new investors putting money into new club

Rules are one thing and reality is another. Leigh should be in the second tier of any new format, as we would still be comfortably in the top 20 largest or best supported clubs...

The problem is SL now run the game not the RFL.

But seriously - who would they have instead of Leigh? Oxford?

How about a cumbrian club. Assuming we would automatically be included is a risky game. Especially with our financial record. Lets hope the new consortium can sort it out.

But if there were two divisions of 10 there would be six spots - plenty for fax,fev, sheffield, us and two Cumbrian sides if you wanted them.

I honestly think going into Administration would be the end.

With the current Board stepping down it makes me think that some guarantee has been made to them about the bankoverdraft.

We will not draw many through the gate in Championship 1 with due respect to Hemel Stags Gloucester and Oxford for example and there would and could be no guarantee that if we did enter administration that we would not end up there.

Then there is our players to consider. We have a good squad and don't want to lose any of them.

The Pg's remain with the person, director or not. In admin the bank would want them back from the person

If we are struggling for support in the championship then we have no chance in champ1 I think Administration is the wrong way to go imo .

Why is everyone so sure that going into administration would see us dropped into Championship 1? Isn't the usual punishment a points deduction? Even if we were deducted 12 points there is now way we would finish in the bottom 2!

If we go in to administration Frank, I,ll buy you a pint, no two pints to ease the pain. Can,t see it happening!

I think administration gets a points deduction, liquidation and/or forming a new company gets relegation.

Thats my understanding also, think the max is 9 points, and if so would still have us ending up in 5th

If you form a new company then you have to re-apply to the RFL for a licence and technically speaking - as a new club - you would be granted a licence for Championship 1. Whether this would happen in reality is a different matter.

I guess a problem with that route would be that we would possibly write off money owed to businesses in the Leigh area, and could hardly then go to them for sponsorship etc in the future.

Not only sponsorship Alan but services and work carried out, but then we are a daft lot.
