Sounds a great idea to me. What the game needs at the moment

My view is very similar - a 2 Division Super League BUT start season with East League and West League. Each team plays the others once only - lots of local Derbies eg Leeds v Halifax, Leigh v Wigan etc. After these matches split into Div 1 and Div 2. (I bet the present Fev team would get into Div 1).
Possible West League - Wigan,Warrington,Saints,Widnes,Salford, Leigh, Swinton,Barrow,Workington and Catalans.
Possible East League - Leeds,Bradford, Huddersfield,Hull, K.R., London, Wakefield, Cas,Fev,Halifax.
Then Div 2 could be Leigh,Swinton,Barrow,Widnes,Workington,London,Wakefield,Cas,Hull KR,Halifax.

What no Hull FC or Whitehaven , Batly , Doorsbry ?

It is a very good artlcle and his ideas are worth trying. We should also drastically cut the number of imports in the teams.

Does that mean there'll only be 18 league games and if they get knocked out of cup in the first round thats only 19 games in a season, how can clubs run with only 9 or 10 home games, not much income coming in there

27 games and a top 5 play off works well. 13 home games plus a magic weekend

Well, why not resurrect the (once very popular) Lancashire / Yorkshire Cup competitions and the old Floodlit Trophy (and yes I know it doesn't go dark early in summer but that's by the by).

This is a non starter for me that Peacock loves to cart out every few months when he is asked for a nice exclusive. Call it what you want, it is still Super League and Division 1. You effectively cut the number of games which means less money yet for this to work you would need more money going into SL '2'. How do you work out which clubs are in which league, and do the six current Championship clubs become full time? Or do four SL clubs go part time.

You either go 18 home and away 19th magic game
or
18 Home and away and playing 9 alternating home and away season by season
or
18 home and away & 9 neutral venues meaning you get 9 magic weekends.
or
fill it the extra space with internationals or 9's and filter the money made into the clubs.

There are options and i've not exhausted them.
