Just got back from watching the worst display from a Leigh team for Donkeys years they where a disgrace could not even get the basics of Rugby League right what a shambles I would,nt mind if Fax where outstanding but they where,nt Leigh time and time again just give the ball away or tackled like the Fax lads where smothered in grease it was shocking too watch really was Wigan on that showing will score 100 .
The tactics employed by the coaching staff are so bad it can't be true it's mind boggling every Leigh fan knows that Beswick ain't a half back but they still play him there instead of his true position bring Briely on when we have been totally slaughtered within no time Briely scores with his pace the Leigh game plan is so outdated is laughable even a newcomer to the game could read what Leigh where going to do no one running no one backing up tackling shocking
everyone lying flat throughout the game wild passes being flung out to invisible men my God that was disgraceful Leigh
You should pay us for watching that CR-P

Embarrassed is the only word/

In my opinion we have,nt played well all season so far but today was in a different class it was that bad it looked like they where throwing the towel in something's not right at that club that I'm sure off no Leigh team has played that bad for years it's not that we have,nt got a few decent players it's the tactics and gameplan and not having players with any zip in key positions blimey some of that team on that showing would struggle to get in the Leigh East team lol

I thought Fax played well but Rowley played the tactics all wrong , I think he went out for a spoiling game and it didn`t work as Fax just ignored it and just kept playing .There were also a couple of your players who gave up far too early and your Wigan player looked disinterested for most of the match, Penky was poor as well .
However another day and could be completely differant , we know it will be differant when we face you at your place.

Rowley went for a spoiling game our forwards are,nt big enough to play a game plan like that..The problem is with the Leigh team lying flat both on attack and defence with halfbacks trying to find someone running onto the ball instead of the old one man rugby they play it was a shocking display Leigh really need to get a scrum half with zip who can open up defences with pace and clever passes but it would still need players in motion to make things work the team today where clueless and did,nt work for each other Fax battered them and if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped by the 60 min

Ian we all know todays game was dire , not acceptable in every department ,i said to Charlie Jnr before the game today that Faxs forwards are bigger than ours , and it proved right ,we are to Loyal and keep sticking withe same faces , its Taxi time for some , for me i would stick with Pownall , the lad was distraught coming off ,Ryan , and McNally tried , i thought Penky did OK , we will bounce back .

Charlie, we are awaiting your comments on our forum, Fax v Leigh in particular.

Well it is easy to pick out players who had shockers and who played well.

Here I go. Our best forward was Spencer and our best back..................naturally Ryan Brierley.

But bad tackling dropped balls and lack of pace was not just bad it was worse than bad.

I hope Coyle is back at scrum half soon cos Beswick isn't one. Not just blaming him but he is wasted there.

Stu Littler ? He tried but threw out some real bad passes and is too slow for the backline .

We were bad but the truth is Fax were far quicker than us and showed our lads up.

Ryan Fieldhouse for one constantly went through gaps in our defensive line.

A collective off day for most of our lads. It was painfull to watch and surely our players must know performances like this are unacceptable.

Worst display I have seen from a Leigh side for a very long time.

I will be there on Friday however because I am a fan who has seen this sort of dross before even though I still do not like it bet our team is ashamed.They should be.

Fax have always been a big draw attraction for Leigh lads. It's a chance to escape Kansas . . . . .

Just a heads up for this match. Leigh looked pretty sharp today - shiny suits getting off the bus.
We ran out of room on our crappy scoreboard after our tenth try.
Please show restraint on Friday.

Should have let him in then, although his dad wouldn't have been happy, he always wanted him to come to us.

No doubt he'll soon leave and go to his dads new team Salford new assistant coach

All out embarrassment. Think we got away quite lightly in the end.

I blame you Matt, you used all your luck up on Saturday.

This was the 1st time in 45 years of watching Leigh I left with 15 minutes to go, that was embarrassing, having watched Leigh Miners v Leigh East under 16s in the morning the Leigh players need to watch them, commitment on defence flair in attack, the ability to pass a ball left and right and a fantastic game from both sides, so I went from watching rugby as it should be played to watching all out 1 man crap rugby, we as fans can see week in week out what's wrong so why can't the coaching staff!!!

I have to say walking to the ground with my dad, He said he thought we would get tonked today, I replied no chance, we are starting to hit our straps and getting better every week. I thought we were exceptional yesterday and our forwards laid the platform for the creative side of things, However, I also thought Leigh showed no desire and made us look much better than we were. Defensively Leigh had a nightmare and could not defend the little grubber kicks through, i think 18 points alone were leaked right there.


Anyway, thanks to the fans who showed up and i will see you at your place for no doubt a reverse encounter as ussual.

Leigh wont be the only team that put in their worst performance of the season against us over the next few weeks.

We put it together for 40 minutes against Dewsbury and then 40 minutes against Doncaster and then for 60 minutes yesterday. Theres still plenty of rrom for improvement as Rhino pointed out. Its going to be hard to play like that all season but no team in the division would have lived with us yesterday which is especially scary for other teams considering we still have a few players to come in as well.

You did play well yesterday , i admit it , but what happens when you have an off day and you get tonked ?It will happen this season , believe me it happens to every team , they dont play perfect rugby all season , its not possible , the season is not over yet by a long way , and the top team doesnt always win everything , just look at Fev
