It's the usual suspects that I worry about. Hope some of them are able to give the club a chance rather than assuming the worst. We can't let our club, with all it's history, die over this.

Well this club gets by full backing because I don't really want to run the club. All I want is us to win and play good rugby doing it. When the position on the board was released I was against it because fans really shoudn't be there. The take over wannabe's showed their hands imediately then. Our fans forum is as much as we should get and I applaud it even happening. It's a very sad person who isn't happy with their lot. Is ambition greed or is greed ambition? In terms of what was sais all those comments and sound bites are great but essentially they answer nothing (not even why he personally has changed his opinion so quick between January and March) , heck even the last fans forum negotiations must have been fairly advanced and yet still he said we won't go into partnership, on the interview he's now turned into 'we won't go as a feeder', what will it be next year 'I never said we wouldn't play Wigans first teamers'.

I appreciate and respect my view will differ and its pointless going over old ground but seriously I'd urge anyone to really think what this means as these are the words of the CEO of Leigh Centurions yet sound more like the words of the CEO of WMBC.

Your conclusion is conjecture, as well as being at odds with the stated moral standpoint of Trevor and the club. I've known Trevor, from a distance, for a long time and I have never known him deviate on his beliefs for the development of the game, what he has said fits well with what I have always known him to believe.

Since when did Trevor Bartons moral standpoint become the moral standpoint of Leigh Centurions? When did he buy out the shareholders?

He clearly deviated on his beliefs here but I suppose we'll never know why.

It doesn't have to be the same, but it is. If the BoD believe in Trevor's vision then it will be adopted. They clearly do.

The situation changed. Positions were reconsidered as a result and the concept of a partnership with a limiting agreement was explored.

And thus the situation could change again, positions perhaps reconsidered ?
Thus with the ways things can change without consultation you could end up with a established SL player coming back from injury getting game time for Leigh Centurions.

Well then they have changed because in 4 years as ' youth development ' director they never showed 1 iota of interest in it, lets hope the bank manager feels the same because if that has become the clubs main concern that overdraft will start getting bigger very quickly

Since he became the CEO of the club I would guess? with not many of the shareholders putting there hands up either to speak on behalf of, help the club or indeed protect the shares they own who else do you want to represent the club?

Why would he buy out people hanging on to shares that are worth nothing? He's not a stupid man far from it he's a very well respected buisness person and someone who has done so much for the Leigh RL community both amateur and professional. Deserves a bit more respect than some people are giving on here especially when doing it for nothing.

Why don't the shareholders hand in there shares to LISA or some other facility to safeguard the club is the question I ask that really needs answering?

If you believe that re-evaluating positions when situations change is the wrong thing to do then you are clearly stubborn minded. The best course is the one that considers the facts available at the time of the decision. To then cast that decision in stone when the parameters are fluid is to be truly ignorant.

The club have communicated this decision, and previous decisions surrounding it, very poorly and that is the true root of the problem.

You can cast the decision to change positions as weak minded, but I see it as a strength of character of people who have moved beyond irrational emotion based decisions. Strong opinions, weakly held. Change your mind once you have new information that there is a better way.

My last post on here but you lot - and you know who you are - are dragging the club down and I hope you are pleased with yourselves. This is TV over and out. PS. Don't approach me on the terraces.

I have been pretty sceptical about all this but have tried to avoid posting on the substance as wanted time to think and reflect on the pros and cons. Just listened to the interview and I probably need another listen to properly take it in, but prima facie there isn't a lot you can argue with there. Fair play to Trevor in giving some well reasoned responses. I think that the main problem here is that the club has communicated it very badly. No doubt they will learn from this.

Ian you are worrying me , as i seem to be agreeing with your posts more and more , i first watched the lads back in 1961 ,and my dad told me "Choose your team wisely , as you only ever have one ", i naturally chose Leigh ,im Charlie Caroli , im a Clown , i love Blackpool , but i also LOVE LEIGH , and im a LEYTHER , BORN AND BRED .

True Leigh Fans will never desert their team will follow them thro the Good Times & Bad Times never giving up on a dream we,ve reached the Mountain Top ,Wembley win against the mighty Leeds Floodlite trophy Wins Lancs cup wins Championships last 10 years Arriva final wins like the fantastic last min win in 2011 and who can forget that brilliant Grand Final win that took us to SL
But we are the fans who followed the lads thro all the bad times and there have been many over the past 50 years we are True Leythers who don't desert the lads when things are going wrong we are the fans who stood at Workington shell shocked and angry after having 90 points put past us but we turned up the next match.

Ian , i regard myself as a Fan and a Supporter ,to me a Fan is a Fanatic who follows and loves his team , unconditionally , no ifs ands or buts , but follows them through thick and thin , and a Supporter is one who also follows their team , but helps in any way he or she can to provide much needed funds for the said club , i try to do both , i know many others who do the same .

We all have been told the break even amount for attendances is 1800,and we are not getting this , meaning somewhere along the line something will have to give , i only hope the threatened stay away by fans doesnt happen , not only affecting this season , but next season to , as less attendances means less money for contracts , meaning less playing staff , on less money , its a vicious circle , nobody wins , the Club , the Players , the Fans all suffer .

Me personally i wont stay away , never will , and i will continue to help raise funds for the club , and help promote and support anyone else who does , this occurance has split the True Leythers , lets stick together keep following the Lads , and hopefully it will prove nothing more than a molehill in the Mountain that is LEIGH CENTURIONS .
